tanatastic 2,062 Posted August 12, 2015 If the nfl made all this up, why didnt they just throw the ball boy under the bus rather than their premier player who shitz gold? I understand Goodell may have felty heat and wanted to show people he wasnt soft but they could have easily just blamed someone else. I have always felt that it needed to be something damning for them to actually go after brady here.
edjr 6,580 Posted August 12, 2015 .@AdamSchefter just said Berman's questioning was so tough on Nash that he was stammering and struggling to come up with answers If today was the 1st quarter in Tom Brady v. edjr 6,580 Posted August 12, 2015 I see a lot of people deflecting questions from Newbie, changing the subject rather than answering them, and then calling him an idiot. Regardless of whether he is an idiot or not, his questions as to the nickname and the change in story for the nickname are valid but are not being answered by those whom I believe do not like the answer they'd have to give. I'll pose them again: Question 1: Do those defending the Patriots truly believe the ballboy got the nickname "The Deflator" for any reason other than being the guy that deflates the balls prior to the game? Question 2: If yes, why do you suppose the story from the Patriots camp has changed from "He lost weight" to "He overfilled balls once and was chided for it"? It has been answered, you chose to close you eyes. Newbie see, newbie do.

NewbieJr 541 Posted August 12, 2015 It has been answered, you chose to close you eyes. Newbie see, newbie do. No it hasn't. It gets danced around. Or people say that he deflated balls, but there's no proof the orders came from Brady.

edjr 6,580 Posted August 12, 2015 no. I believe he is called The Deflator because Brady was angry that the balls in the Jets game were so over-inflated (16 psi) that he told them it better not happen again. and it's kinda' funny... the Judge believes this too! this is a dance?
NewbieJr 541 Posted August 12, 2015 this is a dance? And then he asked why they came up with the weight loss lie and why they decided to change it.
edjr 6,580 Posted August 12, 2015 I am sure that the judge cares so much about the deflator nickname, he is going to stare them right down and say "explain the nickname, it is all the haters have left to cling onto"

Question 1: honestly I don't know how he got the nickname. There are guys with nicknames that make you wonder "how the he did he get the nickname Runflat?" Same instance here. Could it be because he deflated balls? Yes. Could it be because he was losing weight or letting the air out of the balls cause they were too high in psi? Yes. The fact is we don't know for sure except what they tell us the reasoning is. Still, the nickname doesn't sit there and prove anything other than that it's a nickname. Does it look bad? Yes. But does it prove anything? No Question 2: Couldn't it be both? The nickname was first referenced in May of last year, before the football season was underway. So it's possible that it wasn't because he was deflating footballs.

Question 2: If yes, why do you suppose the story from the Patriots camp has changed from "He lost weight" to "He overfilled balls once and was chided for it"? 1. I think the nickname is likely because the guy deflated footballs. 2. His being chided for having the balls too inflated makes a ton of sense. But that they changed the story is suspicious. I think there is a very good chance the ball boys were ordered by someone to deflate balls......... But I also think it reasonable that the ball boys knew how pisssed Tom Brady was when the balls were overinflated, and they know all it would take for them to be fired is Brady saying the ball boys are doing a shiiity job with the balls, so they made sure the balls were how Brady likes them...all with Brady not having to order them to do anything..................And when the shiit hit the fan, I could see them not wanting to fess up that they focked with the balls and caused this headache, as THAT would get them fired. So it's about 50/50 in my opinion. The ball boys were either told to do it.....Or they did it on their own because they didn't want a repeat of the time Brady was piisssed. But bigger picture......First we have to prove a crime was committed. I lean towards yes on that. But THEN we have to prove who committed it. This is like the police finding a dead body, then looking at who got the most money in the guy's will, and saying "case closed. Sentence him to death" with no evidence at all tying the accused to the crime. But Newbie would argue "Of course it was him! What, you think the guy getting the 2nd or 3rd most money in the will would do it? What are you, a moron?"

It's clear as day that no one here is changing other's minds on this subject so I'll probably drop it now (although I may end up coming back at some point for entertainment value if I'm bored). Which is exactly what it is. An opinion. Not a fact. Not evidence. It doesn't clearly say "hey look here's proof right here". If the nickname is brought up for the judge to see he will say the same thing I'm saying. It proves nothing and therefore is not legitimate evidence in this case
Sho Nuff 720 Posted August 12, 2015 Keep sounding desperate newbie. Maybe one day you will turn out to be right. As of right now you couldn't be more wrong. Looking at all the evidence impartially, as the judge in this case is doing, you can clearly see that there's nothing that holds water in this case. Yet for some reason your small, mind can't seem to grasp that. "Well he made phone calls to the guy" yea just like anyone else would when a potentially big accusation comes young out. Where does that prove that he had anything to do with it? Please share with the rest of the class what evidence, and I say again EVIDENCE, you have that you can point to that clearly says "hey patriots cheated" other than your own admission of being biased and wanting the patriots to be guilty? Go ahead I'll wait but I'll be dead before you produce anything that has any standing ground So far we have a few words where he does not believe there was direct evidence. Then again...I don't believe the judge is supposed to be investigating the case or judging what evidence Goodell had. There is evidence...its circumstantial...and you don't like it. But there is evidence to support that they more likely than not did it...and Brady more likely than not was involved. None of that has changed. You can keep just saying "yes, it looks bad"...but to not admit that 10 things that look bad is evidence of something (along with other things)...then there is nothing impartial about you. Sho Nuff 720 Posted August 12, 2015 Im so confused, whats the real story here? What was the revalation about the leaked transcripts that absolves Brady? Is it just that there is a lack of evidence where they claimed there would be some? Lack of direct evidence. Nothing really changed and the Pats fans and one Brady fluffer in here continue to hold on to just a few quotes right now.

Kanil 520 Posted August 12, 2015 Except now it is like a criminal case. You wouldn't want to get sentenced for a crime where they don't have any evidence. In a court of law, you're right, it doesn't matter. In the court of public opinion, it does. I mean, OJ was innocent in a court of law but the majority of people believe he's guilty. NewbieJr 541 Posted August 12, 2015 So you think a player should get punished even if they don't have proof?
