patweisers44 848 Posted August 20, 2015 Anyone who is a golf fan should definitely want him to play well. Golf is more exciting when he's contending. Plain and simple. I could really care less about his off the course stuff just like I could give 2 sh1ts about William McGirt's off the course stuff. Golf is in a really good spot right now with all the young talent out there. Tiger playing anywhere close to the Tiger of old would take it to a whole new level. Like Notre Dame in college football, Dallas in the pros, the Yankees in mlb, etc. The sport is more fun from a fan standpoint when they are good. Its not as fun to root against the Irish or the Cowboys when they are a ~.500 team.

I loathe the Yankees but I would rather root against them in the playoffs then see them do absolutely nothing for the season.

He wasn't spraying it all over the place or anything. But yeah, he made pretty much everything with the putter. Irons looked solid as well.
Mike Honcho 5,297 Posted August 20, 2015 The top 3 golfers in the world are all under the age of 30, 4 of the top 10.... I think the game is in pretty good shape w/out TW. I also don't TW in the hunt on Sunday here puts any kind of pressure on him. He prolly gets more from playing at home in his games than at the Greater Greensboros of the world... Him missing the cut (badly) in the last 2 majors left a very sour taste in my mouth - he's done until he does this in a big time event. +1 I hope he doesn't finish in the top 2...I've had enough of commentators analyzing his swing over and over. If he's not in contention, stop showing me him hitting out of the rough again and again.

Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted August 20, 2015 Does it allow you to see what distance certain hazards are or the distance to the front and back of the green? Middle of the green for distance. Listen, Rory, I have played with you before. They could give you which club to hit, how much pressure to put on the grip and the exact coordinates of where to land the focking ball and it wouldn't make a rat's ass of difference to where you shank it. KSB2424 3,148 Posted August 20, 2015 Why do good people root for bad people? Why do people that live in glass houses constantly throw stones at people they've never met? I'm not here to judge others....I'm here to be entertained. I save the 'judging' and the 'caring about their personal lives' for my co-workers, family and friends. People I actually interact with and have a impact on my life. Athletes, Actors, Musicians, and other entertainers? I root for, follow, am a fan of the one's who entertain me the most. NewbieJr 541 Posted August 20, 2015 Wow. Tiger Woods was once on top of the golf world. Was threatening Jack Nicklaus' all-time record for wins in majors. Talk about a monumental fall from grace. His fanboys are frothing at the mouth because he is in 5TH (!!!!) place of an event called the Wyndham Championship (Excuse me if I spelled that wrong. I never heard of it before). Reality 3,121 Posted August 20, 2015 Don't care what he did off the course, dude is a phenomenal dooosh bag so that never shocked me. I hate that I can't sit with my 12 year old and watch him play, dude drops a GD or a F-Bomb on every other shot. Or tosses his club like a fkn toddler. Dude is a piece of sh!t in every way possible and he can't go away soon enough as far as I am concerned.

I'd have a little more sympathy for the fact that he was a man with no regard for his wife or kid if he was a decent person, otherwise. How anyone can like the guy is beyond me.
