Marshall 98 Posted August 19, 2016 Unfortunately (for me), the only game being televised in my area right now is PHI @ PIT. Gotta wait over an hour before I can catch the 'Hawks game - and then a rerun of the Raiders' game begins four hours from now. Thanks, NFL Network! So, anyway...would love to hear observations from anyone else who is watching.

Frozenbeernuts 2,296 Posted August 19, 2016 Langford has looked fine. Both of his big runs were open holes that he ran through. Kevin White had a ball go right through his hands. He hasn't gotten a ton of separation from the views I have seen.
tanatastic 2,062 Posted August 19, 2016 Nice to see Lacy running hard. If he keeps looking good he will be a backend 1st rounder by end of next week. Also 20yd td for Freeman. Was really hoping people would keep thinking that's a timeshare.

Was really hoping people would keep thinking that's a timeshare. Took Lacy early 2nd. Everyone was like Whoa, that's early. I just love the situation this year. Already had AJ Green so I was happy to get who I thought was the highest upside guy left.
SpenceToons 70 Posted August 19, 2016 The Bengals first team DEF did a nice shut down job in their only drive of work against MIN last week so I was surprised to see Stafford & co moving the ball at will in tonight's first drive. Tate and Jones were heavily involved with Jones looking a touch more dynamic. Jeremy Hill was stuffed on his first carry but then popped one for 7 yards and had a 9 yarder for a TD soon thereafter. Bernard wasn't able to make as much noise in the next drive. Tyler Boyd is proving himself useful with a 20 yard diving sideline grab early and a redzone TD right before the half. While the ADP still shows him as undrafted, I'm seeing a small flurry of action on the Adds/Drops tonight. [Edit: I see that the FFToday ADP section was updated today and Boyd going at 13.10 on the 12 team PPR]

Was really hoping people would keep thinking that's a timeshare. Ugh. Me too. Dam. I was hoping to get him early second round. That's over. I will take him in the first. Big Freeman believer. Marshall 98 Posted August 19, 2016 Rawls sighting. He got a full workout with the ones in pregame warm-ups. Not expected to play tonight, however. Edited to add: Ty-LER!
Law 241 Posted August 19, 2016 I think it's safe to say the Steelers will be in the market for a new backup QB. I've liked Landry, but after this he's gotta go.

Marshall 98 Posted August 19, 2016 Watching Russel Wilson is the antithesis of feeling reassured that your team is in capable hands. Been tiring of his ulcer-inducing ways for some time now. For now, Boykin is more fun to watch. : ) Edited to add: Annnnd Boykin makes the 2-point conversion. He is fun to watch.

giraldi02 476 Posted August 19, 2016 Boyd looking like a steal in re-draft. Baldwin and Lockett might be enjoyable to own this year. I've said it before, I'll say it again...the Eagles defense is going to win fantasy championships this year. The Schwartz effect is real. He has some talent on that defense, even if the majority of people don't know their names. Marvin Jones... zZzZzZz Lacy looks good, but I love Starks in best ball. Dude could easily get a game where he has 7 catches and 100 yards from scrimmage. I don't want anyone on Minnesota's offense other than AP. I feel like there's going to be end of the year stats, but it's going to be a weekly quagmire.
southcarolina 166 Posted August 19, 2016 I am an ex HS offensive lineman and i truly believe I could line up in the Seattle backfield and gain 3-4 yards.

giraldi02 476 Posted August 19, 2016 I'm thinking the same thing. WR and TE by committee. Yep. Charles Johnson one week. Treadwell the next. Diggs 6 for 94 and a TD. Then Rudolph does his nose thing and gets in the end zone twice in a game. All the while couch coach is pulling his last hair out by week

Kent 228 Posted August 19, 2016 I think it's safe to say the Steelers will be in the market for a new backup QB. I've liked Landry, but after this he's gotta go. Arguably two picks he threw were the wr fault. One he got hit and it knocked the ball off. Oh, and if he had Brown in the game he probably looks much better. weepaws 3,261 Posted August 19, 2016 I like M Jones also , but I think once Boldin gets more involved he will be a target monster for Stafford .
stonewall 647 Posted August 19, 2016 Time to take Christine Michaels seriously. Watched him closely last night. Hitting the hole QUICKLY.....low and with power. Finishing runs with aggression. Seems hungry. Was able to get the outside edge with ease. Caught a ball on the sideline that was a bullet. I was really high on Rawls after what he did for me last season, but I can't envision a scenario where Michaels doesn't share the load.......and at some point, Collins too. That o-line can run-block, but are a disaster at pass-blocking. Downgrading Wilson a notch too.
SpenceToons 70 Posted August 19, 2016 I like M Jones also , but I think once Boldin gets more involved he will be a target monster for Stafford . I'm a Boldin fan and he certainly looked dynamic on that 30 yarder up the middle that he had last week. But last night he caught Stafford's first pass for a 7 yard game and that was all she wrote as it turned into the Jones & Tate Show.

Rawls and Michael are too talentes to waste many carries going to the rook. I am also not a big Collins fan, but I don't think talent good or bad is what's going to keep him sidelined. It's more just because the two guys ahead of him are really good.

He looked like a rookie out there last night, and has stiff competition ahead of hm. As I have stated previously, he will need injury ahead of him to be relevant. However, I will stand by his talent and situation in Seattle. I believe that he is the real deal.

Apparently hes now gonna return from injury sooner than expected. I wonder if he's feeling the pressure to come back sooner rather than later.

tanatastic 2,062 Posted August 20, 2016 Matt jones headed to lockerroom with a shoulder. Didnt look too bad but still getting looked at.
