nzoner 939 Posted December 5, 2016 John Lennon - (Just Like) Starting Over (USA) John Lennon - Imagine (UK) Because of the whole assassination thing and all. Somethings focked up those two songs were at least 10 years apart
jerryskids 7,187 Posted December 5, 2016 Mine too... According to wiki for Light My Fire: Released as an edited single in May 1967, it spent three weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in late July, and one week on the Cash Box Top 100, nearly a year after its recording. That's definitely my birth range, twin I never knew.

ZeroTolerance 584 Posted December 5, 2016 yeah but when Lennon was shot they probably jumped back up Exactly. (Just Like) Starting Over had been released in October of '80 and spent five weeks at #1. It was at #6 on the US charts when he was shot, resulting in a climb back to #1. Also after his assassination, Imagine climbed to the top of the UK charts for four weeks.
