edjr 6,898 Posted June 7, 2017 WASHINGTON (AP) — Former FBI Director James Comey will say in his opening statement to a congressional hearing that President Donald Trump told him, "I need loyalty. I expect loyalty" during a January dinner, according to documents released a day ahead of his planned testimony. Comey is set to testify before the Senate Intelligence committee Thursday. His prepared statement was released Wednesday afternoon. In the statement, Comey said he and Trump dined together privately in January. During the meal, he said Trump asked him if he wanted to remain on as FBI director. Comey said he replied that he wanted to serve out his ten-year term and "was not on anybody's side politically." Comey said Trump then made his statement about loyalty. Comey replied that he could offer his honesty, and that when Trump said he wanted "honest loyalty," Comey answered, Comey paused and said, "You will get that from me." Loyalty for what I wonder?

wiffleball 4,797 Posted June 7, 2017 Geesus, you guys respond fast! Probably the most salient thing I've heard thus far is the fact that POTUS asked the AG to leave the room in order for Trump to ask Comey something inappropriate. It blows the whole "Trump is a newbie who didn't know what was inappropriate" out of the water. You don't ask the AG to leave if you're don't know or at least think that you're going to do dirty. And apparently, Trump did this to another major player (DNI?) in this little chit-show. - Which shows a pattern of trying to do chit under the radar screen. Makes me really wonder what Flynn has on Trump. But, pretty much guaranteed Trump will pardon him faster then you can say "Scooter Libby".
mighty_thor 115 Posted June 7, 2017 Not to pile on or anything but here are some more Hardcore friends: 5-10-16 My friend owns a bar, family business for 35 years. He has had to basically turn it into a restaurant at this point because the younger generation stays at home and drinks cheap beer and smoke pot and show up at 11 pm all focked up and nurse beers while they go out and get high every hour. And barely tip. 7-19-16 Had a friend lose a bar because of a fatal DWI. He just folded up shop and walked away. He was incorporated, so the claimants got nothing, or very little I think. 10-20-16 Right, but then he admits abusing her? She didn't tell the cops that one time during their times at her house? There is something off here, but his statements did him in. I will say, that if he made them during counseling, kinda wrong that was reported. I had a friend who lost his job because he thought what he said in counseling was confidential. 2-19-17 I found it weird how a major nuclear disaster like that faded from the news as fast as it did. A friend of mine got offered to go work there with the cleanup. I had watched a documentary, maybe on VICE? and I told him I wouldn't go near that place for a million bucks.
