yah think? But of course Cali will tell us its net positive

My father was a HS English teacher. He taught in Garden Grove, which has a predominately Vietnamese and Hispanic population. As you would imagine, most of these kids spoke English as a second language. The only difference was the Viet kids actually tried to learn, and behaved in class. The Hispanic kids had zero interest in education. They were more interested in gang banging and becoming teen parents.

Side note... my mother was also an educator her entire life. Pretty sure thats why I came out a little liberally looney.

President Trump kicked off his holiday weekend at Mar-a-Lago Friday night at a dinner where he told friends, "You all just got a lot richer," referencing the sweeping tax overhaul he signed into law hours earlier.

Mr. Trump directed those comments to friends dining nearby at the exclusive club -- including to two friends at a table near the president's who described the remark to CBS News -- as he began his final days of his first year in office in what has become known as the "Winter White House."

I applaud his honesty.

All I see here is you doubling down on the same BS tactic used in the NYT BS.

Two friends named what?

And...btw...wouldn't successful people get more successful in a stimulated economic environment? Isn't a good thing? Or are you socialists really dedicated to spreading misery and failure equally?

Just paid my Feb 1st real estate tax bill online this morning to get credit for the deduction this year.

May or may not work. Were the taxes assessed already or did you estimate them? If assessed you should be good if not, you just paid early.

Most towns here have a July 1 fiscal year date, so they have assessed all taxes through the first 2 quarters. You can pay those because they are assessed, but you can't pre-pay the last 2 quarters.

My tax bill for the last 2 quarters of the fiscal year was available on my town's website (I hadn't received it in the mail yet). I paid the 3rd quarter (Feb 1) bill online right from the website.

Might want to see if you can pay the 4th quarter as well. :dunno:

:wall:

You know, that option was available, and I thought "Why the hell would I want to pre-pay the whole bill?", forgetting that the whole reason for paying early was to get the tax deduction. I'm an idiot...

I just went back in and was able to pay the 4th quarter too. The only thing I lost was another 50 cent "convenience fee" for the E-check.

Thanks, Pats

It is all about keeping the money in our hands instead of putting it into the hands of The Man!
