dain11279 976 Posted January 30, 2018 I was on the fence about doing the 90s draft cuz I initially wasnt that crazy about the music. I was looking today though, plenty of good tunes from that era. In for sure. And I cant focking wait for the 60s draft. Half of the sh1t I looked up for this one were all in the late 60s.

From what you just said maybe I should take a look at the 90s.

Hardcore troubadour 15,515 Posted January 30, 2018 This draft has been great. I'm in for the other ones. Only complaint is the trolls like FBN and Honcho trying to screw it up. Sad. I hope they behave in the next ones.
shotsup 832 Posted January 30, 2018 Anyone drafting in this draft gets first priority in next draft whether it be 60's or 90's !!! Down for an album draft. That one is Ed's to run.

5-Points 3,573 Posted January 30, 2018 Lots of great music...so much I thought of for the 70s I look at and were late 60s.Believe me, there have been at least a dozen songs I've wanted to pick for this draft that I found out were actually late 60's. Count me in on a 60's draft.
Voltaire 5,322 Posted January 30, 2018 16.8 - Detroit Rock City Kiss The other Kiss song taken recently was a warning shot. These guys aren't even from Detroit, they still wrote us into their song.

LOD01 198 Posted January 30, 2018 16.8 - Detroit Rock City Kiss The other Kiss song taken recently was a warning shot. These guys aren't even from Detroit, they still wrote us into their song. That took forever. It was a tough choice between Beth and Detroit Rock City but I had a lot of rock songs already, so I went with Beth. I really didn't think DRC would even make out of the top 2-3 rounds.

The Elevator Killer 567 Posted January 30, 2018 This draft has been great. I'm in for the other ones. Only complaint is the trolls like FBN and Honcho trying to screw it up. Sad. I hope they behave in the next ones. As long as they aren't name dropping, who cares. Some of the guys here have done an amazing job keeping them in their place. I don't mind them making comments about picks. Being an ex troll here's the deal. I was sick in bed and missed the sign up. So I was butt hurt on missing out on the fun. I get them saying how has this not been taken? We say it our self. But once I got involved and saw that it's not as easy as it looks, I got it. It's one thing to sit there and say WTF and another to decide what to pick. To decide what might fall back to you and what won't. As I said before, Fantasy Football guys should get this. But songs drafts are different because you aren't looking at RBs and WR. It's not broke up like that. Everything is available. Then you get to the point where you have decide between a great song or a favorite song. It's like deciding on a great running back or a player on your favorite team. The Elevator Killer 567 Posted January 30, 2018 16.8 - Detroit Rock City Kiss The other Kiss song taken recently was a warning shot. These guys aren't even from Detroit, they still wrote us into their song. My favorite Kiss song and was high on my remaining list. This kind of helps me. It narrows it down a little more. Great pick. Another steal IMO
The Elevator Killer 567 Posted January 31, 2018 A lot of good 90s stuff. Like all decades...have to sift through the utter crap too. There was no crap in the 70s! Well not until around 75 when Disco showed it's ugly head.
5-Points 3,573 Posted January 31, 2018 16.09 - Jackie Blue - Ozark Mountain Daredevils This song reminds me of my dog Jack. Lived to 18. Sang it almost daily while I was cleaning up after him. Ooo, ooo, oo, Jackie Poo.
Voltaire 5,322 Posted January 31, 2018 There was no crap in the 70s! Well not until around 75 when Disco showed it's ugly head. Finding songs I like in the lists of 70s songs is like finding gold in a gold mine. In the 90s it'll be like sifting through a waste treatment facility looking for undigested kernels of corn. The Elevator Killer 567 Posted January 31, 2018 Here's a reason I hate Disco. I was considered a pretty good dancer in High School. I enjoyed dancing. I couldn't wait to turn 18 and hit the clubs. I graduated in '77. My birthday was the end of July. Before I turned 18 Disco totally took over. You couldn't find a radio station in Tampa that still played Rock. All the clubs went Disco. There was only one, "The Rocket Club that still had rock bands. Suddenly you had to know all these BS moves to dance. You couldn't just feel the music and let it move you. It took the joy out of dancing.

Voltaire 5,322 Posted January 31, 2018 What are you thinking? 3 or 4 rounds and move on? I think I'm good for four rounds. I can go longer, depends on how hard 1990 and 1991 get hit. It turns out nzoner's pick "Roam" was released in December 1989. That explains why I missed it, I went into boot camp in August and was in AIT then off to Germany. No MTV. Same reason prior to 1982 was all a blur of not knowing when anything was released.

vuduchile 1,945 Posted January 31, 2018 I remember Kiss from back in my kindergarten era days and didn't like them at all. They were too loud and scary looking. We went thru a phase when we would draw their made up faces on our notebooks. We were intrigued by the blood spitting and flame throwing too. When I finally got around to listening to their music, it did nothing for me.
The Elevator Killer 567 Posted January 31, 2018 The other thing about KISS is that they are judged by the great songs of the 70s. If they had been and 80s or 90s band they might not have been judged so hard.
