Its really funny how certain vocals just rub me the wrong way. I cant explain why or even justify it. It just is.

So far, RUSH, Yes, Boz Scaggs, Steve Miller, Dickie Betts and Chicago all make my DND list for this reason.

They were obviously all widely popular and successful, but I never got them.

Fock! This is hard. LOL. Brown Sugar was my go to. Did Cruizer send a list to anyone? He said he was going to be out for a while. I really want to add some rockers to my line up, but the semi steals are in the ballads and and semi rockers. I'll look at my list, do some research and fall in love with something I had forgotten about until I find something else I had forgotten about.

Do I go big hits or deep cuts. How the fock have you guys been doing this?

Damn the 70s were a great time in music. Incredible the amount of songs I love from this era when I was only alive for 2 months of it :D

I sent volty a list of 22 songs to pick for me so I dont hold things up. That was on it.

I have a two hour wait at the airport right now. Would be nice if it got back to me by then.

What makes the 70s even more amazing is that Disco had started to show it's ugly head by the mid 70s. It pretty much took over by the summer on 77. So all this great music took place in what could be considered a short decade. There is only one true artist that came out of the Disco era. I even went to see them live. You can't count the Bee Gees because they already had a greatest hits album out long before Saturday Night Fever.

I'm about to head out to the Gasparilla madness. Who wants my phone number? I'll probably get a low rating for taking a call while on a ride, but my rating pretty high so I can take the hit.

Styx was my favorite group as a 12-ish year old lad. The two cassettes I had were Grand Illusion and Pieces of Eight. I played one side of one of these every morning while getting ready for school, for what seem like years. We've already got Come Sail Away so I'll take something from Pieces of Eight.

9.12 Renegade - Styx

Well now, cruzer has done left and as far as I know hasn't sent out any picks... I'd say 'skip' but his timer has been all for all of five minutes and I don't know for sure that he's not sent anything out.

I'm about to be out for the night.... I won't be able to update until later this weekend, if at all.

Keep the draft going, keep picking, I just won't be able to update.

What cruzer said...

maybe TEK is right that he'll check in but is too busy to update the first page and first post.

Cruzer sent me a list.....

9.13 - Cruzer = La Grange - ZZ Top

 Haha......just a joke

Man, I read through this really late last night, so much to talk about, so little energy.

SUX .... that was CRAZY how that all happened, and THIS as Paul Harvey would say "Is the rest of the story"......

So driving yesterday evening, (pretty much right before you picked / jumped the gun) I heard on the Radio a song that was in my top 5, that song was "American Woman". As I'm listening to it I'm kicking myself for NOT sending Cruzer that very pick instead of La Grange :shocking: .......WEIRD!

There's more, so as I'm reading through this last night I see how much you really wanted "La Grange", so I almost made you an offer of "La Grange" straight up for "American Woman"

If I made that offer to you without reading the next few pages, it may have caused an International Incident lol
