Sorry to break it to you, but Epic was an 80s song (album release date is the standard for the draft).

The Real Thing

That my or may not have been partial motivation for picking that one over another from Ben.

Finally a new song(for me) to add to my library

Amen to that,I'm looking at my list and IMO the artists that had the best 90's music had some of the best 70's-80's music. The few I have on here that actually started in the 90's are bands that I doubt very few have heard of.All I can say is thankfully myself and my close network of friends had the patience to search out such bands because(and sorry no offense meant to my fellow drafters) this focking decade sucks.

Yep. This is the decade that music died. Through 5 rounds, I'm already considering doubling up on an artist or two.

There is a lot of similar stuff for sure.

I guess Ive "doubled" up twice in a way.

Nirvana - Grohl - Foo Fighters

Temple of the Dog - Pearl Jam (though, those two songs with Cornell on TotD to Yellow Ledbetter are quite a bit different)

Im a big Folds fan...seen him a few times here in Nashville...puts on a great show and yes does great work on the Piano. Funny guy too.

Wanted to pick something different than just what I had already with mostly the "Seattle" scene of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Cornell, AIC...

Maybe he was trying to prove a point... that song is everything shitting about 90's pop music

More pop rock than pop, but thats probably splitting hairs.

Also, I love that song, and like a few others from them.

Yep. This is the decade that music died. Through 5 rounds, I'm already considering doubling up on an artist or two.

For ten years we've been on our own

While moss grows fat on a rolling stone

But that's not how it used to be.

When drafted the songs of the 70s.

Each pick was met with glee

Everyone crying you stole that from me!

Well, I had planned on taking you guys across the bridge from Oakland into San Francisco but Mobb carjacked my bus and drove you guys there himself.

But since we're already here, lets make another stop

6.16 Epic - Faith No More

Nice. Great song.

Oh I'm not saying it's a holy sh!t how did I miss this tune but compared to everything else I've listened to(for the most part) it'll be a decent addition.

Thief. When I first heard Everclear I thought they would be someting special to come out of this generation of rock bands. Started strong and faded. Great pick.

Didn't you know it's not cool to like certain bands? Seriously though I have a concert DVD of Collective Soul with the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra accompanying them and it's a great show.

The most interesting thing about this draft compared to the other 2 is that these first 3 rounds decimated my list of must have songs.

In the other decades, I had no problem coming up with a second choice whenever I was sniped.

That was me in the 70s. The 90s draft was making me nervous before it began but I've been dancing happily through the minefield. I'm lucky that way, I have such a small margin of error.

Saw them in San Francisco at Justin Herman Plaza in '96, I think. They were great! I expected bigger things from them as well.

Probably not a coincidence that this song came off of "Sparkle and Fade".

Awesome. Like many 90s bands, I never really listened to them when they were popular.

I discovered them thru a dvd guitar tutorial in about 2003-4ish.

There were 3 songs on it. An acoustic version of Shine was one of them. (Ill be drafting another if it gets back to me).

It was the first time I was introduced to dropped d tuning, which was a staple of some much heavier bands

I had just started dating this girl (10 yrs my junior) who would become my wife and she heard me trying to learn the song. She said, hey, I know that song. Thats Collective Soul. Theyre coming to the House of Blues. Lets get tickets.

We saw them there, and sadly again years later at a County Fair. They still sounded great though.

Never thought of that. Alexakis seems to have some issues. I will say that I think they made the greatest video ever for AM Radio. A song I thought deserved more play. (2000).

What was 7.02?

I think I can safely throw bandarus under the bus. ;)

This Voltaire account is on the Chrome browser.

My last KJI update is on Firefox with Yellow Ledbetter entered and Herbie on the clock.

Bless him though, it can be tough to keep up and he's making things a lot easier and smoother overall.
