Grew up listening to oldies on the radio.  Even though I grew up in the 80's I loved the music from the 50's and 60's.  My dad always listened to music from the 60's and 70's and I enjoyed it too.  The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Who, Mellencamp, Springsteen and The Rolling Stones have always been some of my favorites.  In the early 90's I was influenced a lot by the music my brother listened to.  I was a big fan of alternative and grunge music.  Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Everclear and Counting Crows were some of my favorites and still are.

Not sure how I got there, as no one that I was close to at the time was a metal fan.  Dad was all about street corner doo wop, Mom would listen to Elvis and Johnny Mathis.

Kiss Alive II - I got this and Destroyer for Xmas, my first owned albums.

Ozzy - Diary of a Madman - Got this very soon after.

Iron Maiden - Powerslave

Metallica - MoP

The Sundays - Reading Writing and Arithmetic

Beastie Boys - Check Your Head

Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream

Sublime - Sublime

Modest Mouse - The Moon and Antarctica

The National - Boxer

Today's addition

Queen-News of The World

I would add "The Game" as well.  I wish I would have remembered it yesterday but someone posted a link to "Don't Try Suicide" earlier today and it jogged my memory.  And now I can't get the chorus to that song out of my head.  Doh!

It was hard for me to pick a Queen album but in the end the album with my favorite Queen song to this day won out.

I could be wrong, but it seemed like The Game was one of the last albums that featured Brian May and Roger Taylor sung tunes.  Nothing wrong with Freddie, but I felt that things went downhill a bit when all songs only had him singing.

Just to add gun to my head if I had to pick a favorite song from that album I'd go Prime Jive(Rock It).

I can't name 10.  Hell, at this point in time, I don't think I can name 10 albums, period.

I know you're a Steven Wilson fan.  Have you listened to all the Jethro Tull remasters that SW did?

I own the DVD 4 disc set of Live Aid and when the fans all do that in unison during Queen's performance it really is awesome.
