I think that if secret service and the military police told them that the president is going to walk across the street and would like some of them to walk with him, knowing he would have top security surrounding him, it could have been done.  Of course, that's assuming Trump would ever want to be caught on camera being relatable to black protesters. Not knowing the full story, If whats on video is all that occurred, then the cops fuked up. It didnt look like he did anything illegal.

Maybe they do, maybe they don't. The issue is that, if you have a situation where 60% of the population is white, but they make up 40% of the deaths at the hand of cops and conversely, the blacks make up 15% of the population and 30% of the deaths, then race could be an issue. Either way, it neither proves, not disproves that race is a factor in this.

And hey..I have question.  What about all of the people looting and busting sh!t up.  They are doing things illegal but NOT arrested.    There have been a handful of arrests. But not all have been arrested that are shown in the videos.   Why is everyone not arrested?

From what I've seen, the cops are avoiding the most criminal of the protesters and taking out their anger on the ones walking in the streets and yelling things. Seems they're taking the path of least resistance. Why take a chance confronting a bad guy when you can just bully some kid who's a little mouthy?

Absolutely, it factors in. Which is why I was saying that we also needed to understand what percentage of engagements by race. That is why there are too many variables such that we just can't look at the result (death) by one of those variables (race) to determine whether that variable is material or not.

That's why I asked.  So as a cop, you think this guy was justified in tackling the guy and blasting pepper spray in the woman's eyes?  For speech?  That's good to know. The protests make a lot more sense to me now. I can't see it ending any time soon.

This seems to be the theme of these 30 second video clips these days. People share what they want to share on social media. Can you imagine if the courts worked like this? Only one side gets to tell the story (even if it is only a small piece of it, and a jury full of people who don't know all the information and are already coming in with bias are the ones to decide what is right and what is wrong right on spot?

Theres a ton of scenarios of why he was cuffed:

He fit description of a crime they heard on radio

They witnessed a crime before camera turned on

He was a known offender with a warrant

He met the threshold of disorderly in whatever state they're in

Local ordinances were adjusted in state of emergency

There's literally countless,scenerios of why he was cuffed.  Keep an open mind.

Some people also forget that the cops are under extreme pressure to keep extreme control of things given the last few days of violence throughout the country. They don't want to give an inch so someone can take a mile.
