First game predictions!

Recommended Posts

The season is here!

8:20 pm EST, Cowboys at Buccaneers!

Make a prediction, who wins, and who is the top fantasy performer?

I'll say Cowboys win this one 30-24.

Top fantasy performer will be Ezekiel Elliott

I'm trying, but the only thing my crystal ball shows is @TBayXXXVII crying into his beer at the loss of his dream for an undefeated season.

Bucs win 21-20

Gronk scores 2 td's and tops Zeke by a hair.

You can't top Zeke's hair.

Weather might keep the game closer than it should, so I'll say Tampa 30 Dallas 17.

Top performer: Fournette - 150 total yards and a TD, 4 receptions.

Everyone is writing off Dallas in this one which makes me think Dallas is going to win.

Dallas 31 TB 26

Dak scores the most fantasy points

I looked at the hourly forecast at weather underground and they are forecast decent weather for game time.

What does your site show?

National weather service shows that it's raining right now and will continue to rain until about 4 pm.  There's a 20% chance of rain the rest of the night.  Ground could be soft.  Could limit big plays.

You have to ignore anything he says about the bucs.  That's his "trash talk"

Ok, I see similar, not concerned about soggy grass though.

Just had to make sure. I have 3 guys going tonight in my main league. I don't want sideways rain or else I will bench them.

Sure, that's why I still see Tampa being around 30.  If it were a clear sunny day, they'd be in the 40's... still might be.  I'm trying to give Dallas fans some hope, that's all.

I know how everyone thinks it’s such a great thing that the Bucs brought everyone back.  But is that the best thing for an older team? That being said, Bucs get off strong, 27-17 and AB is the top scorer, besides the QB’s.

A quote from a person on a Tampa message board (posted at 1:30):

"I live about 20 minutes from the Stadium in St Pete. It's pouring and windy."

But it will stop ahead of the game I believe?

Dallas 27, Bucs 17

Dak scores the most fantasy points, but Ceedee Lamb is player of the game.

I believe that's the prediction.  They're only calling for a 20% chance, at the moment.  Listening to NFL Radio and they said it's still raining now.

Looks to be clearing by about 7pm local time, according to the radar projection from the Weather Channel I posted above.

I'll say Tampa wins 31-29. DOH!! I do have to say it was a pretty good game. Thought Dallas might win it after the late FG but leaving over a minute left on the clock for Brady is virtually a death sentence. Very surprised with A.Brown's performance. I thought Evans would be the big guy. I did have Brady and Chris Godwin starting in multiple leagues. And would you look at GRONK!! Now does he shoot up the TE rankings board? Guess the game script pretty much made 'Zeke invisible. Dak and his receiving corps looked good. Bodes well for them. In all it was a very entertaining game.and a heck of a start to the 2021 season. Thank God football is back!!.

No one picked Amari Cooper who scored the most points in my league last night…
