I don't think that answered the question.  If there were no jobs to be had then I could see that all being a major issue but that's not the case.  All people have to do is make some smarter decisions and they are doing just fine.  From what I've read, our economy was still expanding as of February.

I mean there are some tough times for people. For others it is business as usual. But it certainly isn't wide spread brink of economic disaster stuff people are predicting.

The federal gas tax is per gallon,  18 CT’s, not a pct of the price. So they can get me from 4.49 a gallon to 4.31 a gallon. BFD. They think everyone is an idiot.

I do know all of that.  That' doesn't negate the fact that our economy was still expanded as of February.  It's going regress some as we move forward but from what I can see we are not going to see a great recession right now.  Is it possible?  Yes.  Has it happened already?  No.

Yeah I mean....in 2020 it was important/necessary to keep the economy afloat while COVID raged. I would even argue there was some value in the one in 2021.

But now for energy means? Absolutely not. This is a temporary thing- we all know that. No need to write 1100 dollar checks to adults because it is a long ranging issue to a short term problem

How temporary if we continue to rely on others? A few months ago we were told that inflation was transitory. Then they said it was good. Now they tell us to get used to it. Why? Because they aren’t changing their energy policy.
