The Raiders have #22, #53, #86, etc...in 2022.

Are those prime picks?

Thinking the same, Rodgers can’t be happy, but this trade is no blockbuster.

Nope never mind, looks like Rodgers knew before he sign a new deal.

There is no way anyone can list Adams as a first round ff wr pick anymore.

Good move for Adams, going from the #10 passing QB to the #5 passing QB, and from a division that sports the Lions and Bears to the most competitive passing division in football.  Mahomes/Hill vs Herbert/Williams vs Carr/Adams vs Wilson/Jeudy.  This is setting up nicely...

Yes going from a Qb that has thrown for 85 tds the last two season, to a Qb that has thrown for 50 the last two seasons.

Say good bye to those double digit tds season mr Adams.

Someone will still buy him in the first round? Right I hope so.

Trading the best receiver in the NFL is no blockbuster. :dunno:

he was only the best statistically and only because Rodgers was tossing him the ball.

dont get me wrong.  hes a legit #1 WR but there are only 2 or 3 QB's in the league capable of making him put up those kinds of numbers and Rodgers was one of them.

I like Carr, but hes no Rodgers.

This is not fully true. Adams is a beast on the field. Him and Renfro will be formidable.

Raiders are hoping Adams doesn't need to have 120+ catches this season for them to be competitive.

The person the owns Adams in ff does.

Packer wr's historically never even come close to putting up good numbers after leaving GB. Adams could be the exception to the rule here, but I doubt it.

Do a wikipedia search on Davante.  He put up 24 (!) TDs with Carr his sophomore year, before declaring for the draft.  Also, he has the ex-NE OC as the Head Coach there, now.  He'll "scheme" him open.  Still a WR1 / in the top-8 I think.

I put no value at all on the production from college, that said, I think Carr is a quality QB and the offense should be good.  The addition of Adams, who at the very least, is an excellent receiver (Rodgers influence or not), should make them better.  My initial thought is that Adams will still post an excellent season.  I will however say that I think his numbers do drop though.  Over the last 4 years, the Packers (Rodgers), has averaged 555 pass attempts per season... Carr, for his career (8 years), is averaging 557 per season - meaning, volume isn't any different.  What's different is the supporting cast.  Carr has a great rapport Renfrow and Waller, so I doubt that Adams continues to see 150+ targets.  If I had to guess, I'd put him around 125.

Rodgers as avg 34 tds over those four seasons , Carr as avg 22, so maybe that gets closer because of Adams.

But I agree Packers wr don’t have a great history once they leave the Packers for another team, plus Adams as been Rodgers first - third options in the passing game, not to much with the Raiders, plus I think the new coach might incorporate Drake more into the offense.

Adams will have a great season as a WR1, even with the expected decrease in volume and TDs.

The last 2 seasons have been outliers in a sense, for Adams, catching 77% (in 2020), and 73% (in 2021), of the passes thrown his way.  Carr is pretty accurate, just as accurate as Rodgers really.

If he gets 135 targets and catches 68% of his passes, he's looking at 92 receptions.  His career yards per reception is 12.1, we'll stick with that, so that puts him at 1113 yards.  If we go with a reasonable 12 TD's, that puts him at 275 fantasy points (16.2 fpg).  That would rank him 8th last year.  So yeah, I'd have to agree.

The thing is, he would go from a game changer to a solid WR1.  Nothing wrong with that, but you'd just have to be prepared for that.

yeah I dont deny that.  but to maximize his potential he needs a qb that can take full advantage of his skillset.

like I said, there are only one or two out there who can (possibly 3)

Rodgers is one of those.

That would make him a low wr1 non ppr.

Apparently it wasn't about the franchise tag, he was just tired of all the BS that comes with Aaron Rodgers 🤣

Without even watching the video, that's what I thought the whole time.

I watched the video and mostly it is speculation.

all they were able to confirm is that Adams didnt want to play in Green Bay.

we know Rodgers was toying with the idea of leaving too.

there are multiple things this could mean.

it could mean they didnt get along with each other.   it could mean that neither really liked management.    it could be a little of both.

but apparently Rodgers signed knowing Adams wasnt returning.   so this has mostly fueled the speculation that the two didnt totally love each other as two teammates should.

honestly Rodgers is good enough that he can make a good receiver great.

I agree Adams is a Beast.  But I think the offense will still be good in Green Bay.

I thought I read that Rodgers said if he did leave the Packers, he would want to take Adams with him.

Maybe?

I dont know, there have been so many contradictory reports on this its tough to know whats real and what is made up clickbait.

though this story about the rift between Rodgers and Adams doesnt feel totally legit.   you cant maintain a connection like this if the QB and WR hate each other.  it makes no sense to me.

Adams took less to go somewhere else, case closed.

well, that doesnt mean the issues is with Rodgers.  Could be the team management, could be the city, could be Rodgers himself.

I guess all that matters is that hes gone.   The reason why doesnt matter. (not to me anyhow)  but knowing why can help you understand a situation a bit better in terms of issues a player may face when they move to that particular team etc etc.

for example: I have avoided paying full price for Washington players because I know the organization has been a dumpster fire with the owner interfereing in the team.    Thats an easy one.

Jaxonville last year too.  Even if I liked the talent of a couple players on the offense.   That may change with new coaching there, but you get my point.

It was probably somewhat attractive for Adams to be reunited with his college QB who connected with him for over 3,000 yards and 38 TDs at Fresno State in 2012 and 2013.

agreed. there was clearly a relationship there.

and maybe he doesnt hate anyone in Green Bay but is sick of the drama.   He knows he can play with Carr,  He likes the guy......  and maybe that's enough.

And Las Vegas vs the Frozen Tundra was probably a difficult decision as well.
