he's a decent bat to nab if you are looking for a low risk/ high reward add to your fantasy roster.  He's not our saving grace, but you do see similarity to what the Royals are bringing up to what they did with their back to back series run.  Sad to think though Ned Yost could be that much of an upgrade over a current manager.

also, .280 BA for remainder of year for both Pasquantino & Witt Jr.

Really doesn't matter to me, but I was wondering when the post about Vinnie coming up was going to be made...

big $101 for pasq just now.  ty.

Competitive leagues would have had him rostered a long time ago...  Hell, even drafted...  And I am not talking about dynasty leagues either...

Can’t put anyone on a roster unless they are on the 40 man at the start. Have to wait for a call up after that. That’s how good leagues do it. How stupid would it be to just be able to put any minor league player on your roster? You can tell who doesn’t know jack shite.

actually he WAS rostered in the NA slot of one of the GMs of our 14 team yahoo! league.  but now that he is active, he was forced to either put him on the main roster and cut someone else or cut pasq.  he opted to cut the kid so now hes on waivers for anyone to bid.  thats how i got the $101 bid on him.  itll be a day or two to see if i have the high bid.

Adley Rutschman has been requested to the major league levels of MLB.  He will play in the role of catcher and will bat on offense for the Baltimore Os.

Cool...  I can't believe that one would hold onto him and then dump him when he became active...  There had to be someone else to dump...

Its going to be one of THOSE sundays.

I'm losing in Yahoo! fantasy 6-13.  Today is the last day of the week.  I trail my opponent by 3 runs, 4 hits, 1 RBI, 1 stolen base, 4 total bases, .018 batting average, .028 OPS, and 2 wins with 2 pitchers going today (Stripling and Gray).  I'll probably bat .175 and both pitchers will get rocked...

Legendary Phillies OF Oscar Mercado, who played about 1 week with the club after being claimed off of waivers from the Guardians, was put on waivers by the Phillies and claimed by ... the Guardians.  His impact in the Philadephia will never be forgotten.

every team in the AL East was .500 or better going into last night (before the Os lost)

10 AL teams either have a winning record or are a game or two from .500.  Only 5 AL teams are really in the dumper.   With 6 playoff spots, 4 of those 10 will be sad this fall.  Currently the Sad 4 are the Oreos, Gidiots, and Sox of Red and White varieties.

Yes but it’s pretty impressive for an entire division to be .500 or better when it’s not like they are all a few games above. Yankees were 31 above? Rays were 10 or 11. Jays were 7 or 8 above. I don’t think any other division comes close to total record.

Who are the best players in baseball in order based on this year and combined slightly with overall career but mostly based on talent.

Where are Bryce Harper, Mookie Betts, and Manny Machado on the list?

Also, Ohtani, Vlad Guerrero Jr., Juan Soto, Ronald Acuna, where would they fit in on the list?

Who else?

Just asking about non-pitchers, but you can make a list for pitchers too.

Mookie Betts, if you choose anybody else...............you probably foolishly believe that the 2020 election was stolen.

Whit Merrifield to the Jay's after he couldn't travel there earlier this year because he wasn't vaccinated.

its more like the big money teams dont know how to construct a team in the current MLB, so everyone has a shot.

Because money doesn’t trump all In baseball anymore. Not that it ever guaranteed anything…. But Smaller market teams with good analytics don’t need to trade for the Sotos or sign the Scherzers to contend. Yeah, all that shit helps but it’s less important than it was 15 years ago.
