Oh so they didn’t raise prices due to inflation then?

edit:  And the article you recommended actually said they didn’t even raise ticket prices in Florida

Well gas went down since the pedo took office after Trump. It was $5 as of inauguration day for creepy Joe. He said so himself.

Ask your pedo in chief. He was the one who said it.

Sounds more like you've been hitting your mom's Amoretto when she's not looking.

I’m surprised some of the people here can balance a checkbook. Their wives must do that for them. So stupid. Less customers are better! Lol.

It’s usually not (well unless you raise prices and your velocity drops at a lower rate than the price increase - guessing you’ve never heard of elasticity of demand).  Just has little to do with being “woke.”

So you keep excess money in a non interest bearing account? They teach you that at finance school?

100%

I was there two weeks ago at EPCOT for the Food and Wine festival.  It was fantastic. And Disney with the Christmas decorations up and what not is pretty cool.

I am not going with family. Okay to dress like Matt Gaytz and go alone?

Yes, I keep a few thousand dollars cushion in my checking account for emergencies as everyone should.

The greater point is that I don't own a checkbook.  Everything is electronic.

What was your favorite thing at the Food and Wine?  I loved the Apple beer in Canada, the Shrimp skewer from Kenya and the key lime funnel cake in America.

So if you go to a wedding you pay pal the gift? Or do you give them a toaster?

Do you not do much online shopping or use a credit card for most purchases?

You challenge me sir.

I might suggest that I was partial to  the Feijoada from Brazil in terms of food....but also the Roast Bratwurst in a Pretzel Roll in Germany.  All the beers in Germany, and all the wines in France also draw me in.

We managed to make the circle by sharing each to avoid becoming too full or too drunk

The Brazilian cheese bread as a close second.  I was really looking forward to the German food but I was underwhelmed, maybe because it was right before closing

In the rare occasion someone needs a physical check these days, we have a few, yes, but I don't have a ledger and a checkbook where I right down all the debits and credits.  Those days are gone, old man.

Yeah neither do I.  But I know how to do it. I have my doubts that you do. I certainly don’t leave excess thousands in one when I can accomplish a transfer between accounts with ease on my phone. You don’t know how to do that?

I haven't been to Disney in forever.  I feel no need to go again until we have grandkids.  But we have a few friends who make an annual trek to Disney.  I don't understand it but live and let live I say.

You got me, I don't know how to balance a checkbook, nor do I know how to transfer money between accounts.  Do you even listen to how ridiculous you are?

Are you talking about writing out a check to the couple instead of actually buying them a gift?  I didn't know people still did that.

I was making fun of someone that would give a toaster. Please leave me alone. I have enough ankle biters to contend with.

Yes.  First they said that Disney+ lost subs because woke, then they said they would have a bad qtt, they didn't.  So now they have a bad qtt, and it's because woke

So, does a huge profitable corporation usually announce layoffs, a hiring freeze and cut back on travel after one bad quarter?

Some do, yeah, it depends on guidance.  Guidance is what you tell the street your numbers will be like over the next quarters, and if your guidance doesn't look good, then you need to make changes, and some of those changes may be cutting expenses.  So if it looks like a recession is coming, then it's wise to cut expenses to prepare.  Disney is not the only company laying off right now.

It's whatever Tardcore needs it to be so that he can say he won a conversation on a lightly trafficked FF message board.

They're not doing fine, they clearly have their challenges.  If you read the earnings announcement, you would see that they need to cut costs, and that's what they plan on doing.

Why do you keep asking all these stupid questions?  Is this what mall cops do to shoplifters?

You have been saying all along how great they are doing.  Parks packed, movies kicking ass, subscriptions up. Don’t get mad at me for what you said. Maybe they weren’t doing as well as you thought? Could that be possible? Like when I pointed out they reduced capacity at the park,  and you called me a POS or something?

When I pointed out that their woke movie won’t make as much due to them not being able to sell in China and other places the finance guys said I was an idiot because the movie made money.  I said yeah not as much. They got mad. Looks like I was right.

They were doing great but things change.  Again, read the earnings and you'll see.

I know you're just dying to get a win here, but they reduced park capacity for covid, but the park were still packed, one of the reasons why people feel like they lost the magic, as you pointed out yesterday.

Keep going old man, keep looking for that win.

Dude won't quit.

Read the earnings and you will see the big problems are costs in their DTC division, costs in their parks and a downgraded outlook on parks due to recession.

Nothing about a movie in China.  Please just shut up already.

Amazon is laying off 10,000 people.  Lot's of layoffs happening and I don't think one has a thing to do with being woke.

How can I win if you can never lose? And dumb dumb, I’m not that much older than you. But much, much wiser. Experience =wisdom.  You don’t get much in a cubicle.
