I know lots of vets with ptsd are given animals to help them cope. Maybe we should set up something for people in your situation to help them heal? We give enough to places like Ukraine. Trying to cancel Jan. 6 by trotting in the Iraq War and physically and psychologically wounded veterans of it is just your usual gish-galloping. You lamely try the same thing with the summer 2020 riots. Following and being interested in current events isn't the same as having PTSD and suffering the lingering effects of a war that happened two decades ago. Our brave soldiers who fought in that conflict absolutely deserve ongoing federally supported care. I have a client who was in that conflict and has a German shepherd to help him cope with his PTSD. Instead of comparing apples to oak trees, let's compare apples to apples: The investigation into Jan. 6 is far from over and remains a current event. You’re obviously in some distress after witnessing the literal near end of our democracy. It’s been compared to 9/11 and Pearl Harbor. Like you told Bunny, reaching out for help can be difficult, but it does help. Congress needs to address this for those that watched it on TV as well as those present. The ones were police were being bombed by Molotov cocktails, frozen bottles of water, rocks, physical violence and murder committed against them, police stations burnt down, businesses ransacked, looted, and then burnt down, federal buildings and monuments destroyed, business owners beaten and put out of business, citizens brutally attacked and murdered, and so on.... All the while liberal mayors and governors told law enforcement to stand down while they refused national guard help, and Kamala Harris was the face of a gofundme account to bail these insurrectionists out of prison to put them back on the streets, as well as liberal office holders encouraging the the riots to keep going.
