When a cop sees a sh*tbag doing sh*tbag things and arrests him ... the DA refuses to prosecute. After the 3rd, 4th, 10th, 50th time that happens, as HT says, they realize it's a waste of time. The DA has no interest in putting the criminal in prison, they would would rather prosecute the cops for stepping out of line.

The hack prosecutor in New York investigating President Trump in a post you created a week or two ago is a prime example. She ignores real crime and fabricates it for her political enemies.

This is not an actual problem. The extremely obvious proof is that America has the highest incarceration rate in the world. Literally impossible to have that “distinction” if you’re not prosecuting people.

I'm not dwelling on the origins; you missed the part where it still means to defund the police part to give to social workers etc.  It does NOT mean DON"T defund the police and instead use even more money for social workers.  HTH
