It's all absurd monopoly $$. Hell, probably the Mets.

My take, he's 23 and a legit stud, better than giving it to somebody 5 years older.

It is ludicrous though. How about Judge? He will be looking for similar

I have watched zero baseball this year. A few years back I subscribed to MLB.com to watch games on my computer. Just don't want to use my free time for baseball these days. In fact, when I heard on sports radio that the all star game is coming up, I was semi shocked to hear that baseball is even being played right now even though I shouldn't have been.

Elon Musk?  If he needs an assistant to pick up the dry-cleaning, drop the kids off, stuff like that.

Yankees might.  Gallo is a FA after the season.  Mets could too, since they have some big numbers coming off the books in 2 and 3 years, plus Nimmo's a FA after the season.  The Dodgers don't really need him, but they'll move someone else to bring him in.  They're only going to be just over $200M next year.  I'll be interested to see if they pick up Bauer's option.

will they let Judge go? or will they pay 1 billion for 2 players?

Giants may go after him ala Kris Bryant last season. I don't think it would be smart unless they have the $$ to sign him to an extension. For a team that continually contends with older and role players, they really could use a young star. At 23, he becomes your franchise cornerstone for the next 7 seasons.

I would let Judge go and go after Soto, if I was the Yankees...

I could see them letting him go.  He's 30 now, will be 31 next year.  No WAY would I give him any more than a 5-year/$150M deal.  If he wants that, great, otherwise... good luck with your new team.

Someone might... I just think that if the Yankees give Soto 10 for 500, they're not giving Judge 200.  I wouldn't put it past them though.

Signing Sotos over Judge would take balls.

Then again, they haven't won squat with Judge

The 3 teams that spend crazy money are the Dodgers, Yankees and Mets.  The Giants *COULD* do it, but they are cheap and follow a strategy where they sign free agent cheap pitchers on the rebound because the Giants play in a pitcher-friendly yard paired with an average batting lineup.  The Giants would feel signing Soto is a waste because he will never reach his true potential playing 81 games in San Francisco.  That said, its possible the Giants sign Soto because the entire fanbase knows of the Giants "blueprint" and are getting increasingly hostile about it and calls to sign a stud bat are growing ever louder.

It shouldn't take balls to give a 24 year old a 10-year deal and not a 5 year deal to a 31 year old.  But New Yorkers are an interesting bunch, so you could be right.

Soto in SF is a bad idea. He needs to play in NY

Not even close

Wrigley - Left Field – 355 ft (108.2 m) Left-Center – 368 ft (112.2 m) Center Field – 400 ft (121.9 m) Right-Center – 368 ft (112.2 m) Right Field – 353 ft

Yankmee - 318 feet (97 m) to left field, 399 feet (122 m) to left-center field, 408 feet (124 m) to center field, 385 feet (117 m) to right-center field, and 314 feet (96 m) to right field.

"Not even close"?  LOL.  Go look at a graphic and tell me they're not close.  Heck, you even note that LC at Wrigley is 31' shorter than Yankee stadium.  Even CF is a couple feet shorter at Wrigley.  RC is 23' shorter in Wrigley.  The ONLY spots where Yankee stadium is shorter, is right down the lines and those stretches of wall aren't even that long.

Right field in Yankees stadium is embarrassing. it is quite a ways till it starts to jet out to right center

Yeah, because Soto gets robbed of so many balls at Nationals Park.

Pops ups are HRs in yankmee stadium.. HTH

That's more for mediocre hitters, not guys who hit it 400'.  Like I said, for Soto, Wrigley isn't much different than Yankee Stadium.

Power hitters never hit cheapies. Judge isn't even in that video I posted.

Which is why I said that the corners at Yankee stadium aren't relevant.  Literally, 80% of the fence distance at Wrigley is shorter than Yankee stadium... to which, you said the stadiums aren't even close (meaning that Yankee stadium is way shorter), then proceeded to talk about down the line.  :dunno:

Also, I didn't care to watch the video... my comment was based on your text comment.

waste of time talking about park dimensions in most cases. since power hitters like Judge and Soto can thrive in most parks.

What’s quite a ways? The pesky pole is 302.  And let’s not get into all the fly balls that are an out everywhere but Boston and the green monster. Joke.

Left field 315 with a 37 foot high wall at fenway

Yankmee stadium 314 right field with a fence gutterboy could rob homeruns

Nailed it.

So how does taking homeruns away help your cause?
