BuckSwope 654 Posted November 17, 2022 Just now, Sean Mooney said: The company was the 10th highest donor to the Republican party in the midterms. It's a conspiracy theory because you want to tie this to the left to help figure out how the right lost the Senate and governor races and stuff. The simplest fact is they ran crap candidates. Again- hardcore leftists who are business people give to Republicans all the time. This is the fact that way too many people dug into their partisan thinking gloss over. Look at the top donor lists for these parties, and you see a lot of the same companies listed. They don't give 2 craps who wins for the most part, they just want the person who wins to owe them something.
TimHauck 2,848 Posted November 17, 2022 Honestly the Salame dude (FTX co-CEO that donated $20m to Republicans) might be just as shady as SBF. He created the PAC and was the primary donor. So was basically donating to himself.

Masshole 642 Posted November 17, 2022 Oh FFS, I mean come on. They are not even trying to hide it anymore. Maxine Waters is going to chair the investigation into FTX. Maxine freaking Waters. Less than a year ago, Maxine Waters was blowing kisses to SBF: And, of course, Patrick McHenry will be on that committee. Neither of us knows on the 2nd. Which means you can't say he didn't launder money there either. There's a lot more circumstantial evidence for laundering. He's a confirmed thief of billions/sketchy AF, Ukraine is heavily in crypto and one of the most sketchy AF countries. You know that but you are still saying that it's more likely than not that they weren't laundering $ there? Why are you shilling so hard for this guy? Kind of weird really. Bankman-Fried, 30, became a billionaire founding FTX, and his commitment to philanthropy in the forms of donations to causes addressing issues like pandemics and climate change, as well as his massive donations to Democrats and liberal PACs, made him a major player in Washington and subject of media fascination. I guess you could say in this case I am shilling for Biden, but really just because I don’t think he’s involved in laundering money from Ukraine through FTX. I will give you one thing: I don’t know why SBF hasn’t been arrested. That could have something to do with the money he donated, but I still maintain the money he donated was for the same reason most rich people donate to politicians - to influence policy.
