Jeff, you seem to have a Masters Degree in Tranny Education. You'd be perfect to teach these kids about all the different species of the LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ.

Some here might be fine with relegating the trannies to Molokai. Others, a more inhospitable island in the Aleutians.  Me, since they are already fairly entrenched I say give them Manhattan and Fire Island.

Trans Rights Protesters Occupying Oklahoma Capitol Building Sparks Debate

The occupying of the Oklahoma State Capitol by transgender rights activists has sparked an online debate about whether the demonstration is comparable to the January 6 U.S. Capitol insurrection by Trump supporters.

According to the Oklahoma Daily, around 150 people entered the building on Monday, protesting two bills introduced to the state senate that would restrict gender-related healthcare. Many sported trans flags and held placards that carried phrases including "we are not a threat so stop making us a target" and "stop healthcare bans on trans."

Footage taken by Nick Camper, a reporter for local news channel KFOR, shows activists chanting "trans lives matter" in the main atrium of the capitol. In other clips, they can be seen shouting "protect trans kids" and "we are Oklahoma." Later, protesters appear on balconies on the floors above chanting: "This is our house."

The protest comes in response to Senate Bill 129—which would ban gender reassignment surgery for those under 26 years of age—and Senate Bill 122, which would prohibit people under the age of 18 from undergoing medical treatment for gender reassignment. Both bills were introduced by Republican state senators.

The police need to come in and remove them.

There is a place for peaceful protest. Occupying public property is not acceptable.

I totally agree.

They can dress the Statue of Liberty up in beautiful rainbow 🌈 colors, maybe attach a dong if they like. And that's where they could send all the Trannys to, like the immigrants used to.

When Richard Speck petitioned the Court for sex reassignment surgery this day was bound to come.  Some say there is no slippery slope.  They instead call it progress. I prefer my progress to be something we stride forward towards, together, than something we slide and stumble towards.

I don't think it is analogous. Jan 6 was more than just a simple protest. This wasn't a violent attempted insurrection against the State of Oklahoma. And no I don't think this is OK because it is "leftists".

I am not sure what you mean by "some things".

According to Gateway Pundit this was the worst of their actions, which were not violent:

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/02/mob-trans-activists-supporters-storm-oklahoma-capitol-ok-support-leftist-cause/

Quote

Many members of the mob were waving trans flags along with holding signs that read “we are not a threat.”

At one point the mob started to chant “trans lives matter.”

A second chant would shortly break out and the mob could be heard chanting, “This is our house”.

At the moment there have been no reports of anyone being arrested during the protests.

meanwhile granny sat in jail with cancer for 6 months without trial for wandering around peacefully

I have no problem with it and don't care what you pretend to be. I do care when it's shoved down our throats as if we're crazy for being Men/Women. I also care when my kids have to learn about it in school. I'll handle that, just teach them what I pay you to.

Is that out of line in anyway, shape or fashion?

I don't know.  In what way to you feel this is being "shoved down your throat"?

Everyday I am thankful I am not on SM besides these two boards.   I encounter so little of this IRL, just people living their lives and letting others do the same for the most part.

No, as Tim and I have stated, it isn't OK.

And I am not certain who this "granny" is that you refer to, who was "in jail for 6 months without trial for wandering around peacefully" (I would imagine there is more to the story than that).

He went from working in a bakery to auditioning for a singing competition and now winning the top grammy. Most people who don't focus on race or sexuality as the most defining element of people's lives 24/7 would understand he was referencing his humble beginnings and unlikely career trajectory.

In Tuesday morning's sentencing hearing, the prosecutor said certain aspects of Hemphill's conduct at the Capitol put her case in a different category. Hemphill "repeatedly turned to police for help while simultaneously undermining their efforts" and bragged about the August 2020 incident in which a group of protestors broke a glass door at the Idaho State Capitol on the first day of a special session to address issues related to civil liability and elections during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On January 6, "many protested without engaging the police," the prosecutor said. "This defendant did not choose to take things in from a distance."

A crowd had gathered outside the Capitol to protest the counting of Electoral College votes for then-President-elect Joe Biden. Hemphill recorded video as many people moved closer to the building.

A video the prosecution played in court contains audio of Hemphill telling a police officer, "I have to get out of that crowd," adding that she had surgery and was a journalist. The officer had her stand in a safer area.

Moments later, Hemphill is heard saying to people in the crowd, "You just come in. That's all you do. This is your house, your house. Haven't you had enough with the (expletive)?"

"These are not the actions of a citizen journalist. These are the actions of a rioter," the prosecutor said.
