‘Jeopardy’ fans reel as ‘Lord’s Prayer’ question goes unanswered

"Jeopardy" fans found themselves stunned Tuesday night after all three contestants failed to answer a question asking them to complete a line of the Lord’s Prayer, the most widely recited prayer in Christianity.

The puzzle, worth $200, read, “Matthew 6:9 says, ‘Our Father, which art in heaven,’ This ‘be thy name.’”

Contestants Suresh Krishnan, Laura Blyler and Joe Seibert stood in silence, with none of the three attempting to fill in the blank, until host Mayim Bialik revealed the answer: “Hallowed.”

The moment went viral, with viewers on Twitter expressing their shock at the contestants' inability to answer a seemingly common-knowledge question.

“Tonight’s Jeopardy contestants were just asked to fill in this blank: ‘Our Father who art in heaven, ______ be thy name,’” one user tweeted. “None of them even took a guess. I’m really surprised — I thought that would be an easy one!”

Just shows how far America has fallen away from God’s Grace.  It’s all going to burn.

Most smart people aren't that into God

Scripture would suggest that it's more like God isn't that into smart people (but He does make an exception for some of us).

"But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty]."  --1 Corinthians 1:27 (AMP)

Technically the answer is not Hallowed.  The question is What is Hallowed.

So much for love and mercy. I guess Genesis 9 no longer applies?

I believe people are abandoning Christianity in American because the evangelicals joined with a political party. They should have stayed out of politics. Once they placed themselves in bondage to the Republicans, they were forced to support a moral reprobate like Donald Trump, with multiple wives, who he cheated on with porn stars, and he sexually abused women too. Why would a non-Christian follow Christianity if the Christians are following such an evil person?

Lol. Black churches haven’t joined with a political party? 77 pct of Jews are democrats. It’s fine when your side gets them I guess.

no if you have a problem with the church the answer is definitely not to turn athiest unless you really were going there on your own in the first place and needed an excuse.  you could start your own church or join another faith.

People turned away from God because of Trump.

TDS runs deep.

Evangelicals got into bed with the GOP in the 90s. It’s been downhill for Christianity in America ever since. In the early 90s, 90% of Americans identified as Christian. It’s down to 63% now.

I saw the switch start to happen in the 90s. The evangelical church went from a place where you didn’t discuss politics to a place where you were told voting for a Democrat was somehow an affront to God.

Trump’s inclusion in this trend is simply as a symbol of the bigger problem. The remaining members of the evangelical church have no moral standing left. They could have stood on principle and preached against somebody who cheats on his spouse with porn stars. Instead, they became a moral reprobate’s biggest supporters. It’s the opposite of what they claim to stand for. It’s a Machiavellian relationship to get their agenda passed into laws. Problem is - that’s not what their religion is supposed to teach. People see that hypocrisy and want nothing to do with it.

Evangelical Christians are responsible for the dive in popularity of their churches. If only they had listened to Jesus when he said “My kingdom is not of this world.”

whats really amazing here is that dogcows is reporting that apparently Trump has a time machine, went back like 40 years, preached about God and the GOP and how both are great, and that ruined christianity.  really shocking stuff here from dogcows.  cant wait to hear more.

The elected leaders who create the laws of the entire United States are so far far far far far far far to infinity more important to Christians, than one elected leader's past sin(s).
