***OFFICIAL Lions @ Chiefs NFL Season Opener Thread***

Yeah, I usually don't bet on conflicting fantasy and betting interests, so I may lay off. I like Detroit but have Skyy Moore playing.

I've been killing it in baseball and will be sorry to see it go. NFL is hard to bet and win 65% of time. And my fantasy interests are investments. I may follow on the Detroit ML. 50 bucks aint that big of a deal at +170.

I'm with you, gambling makes sports more fun to watch.

If you think Detroit may win and score points it isn't conflicting to think Skyy Moore gets targets.  Many.

Good point. I put some money on Detroit for fun. My bets won't change the outcome. :dunno:

Because you're wrong. We aren't going against the defending Super Bowl champs. The Chiefs are missing two lynchpin players and simply aren't a championship caliber team this week.  I fail to believe that Mahomes minus Kelse, and with only two days prep, is any better than Aaron Rogers and we already know how that goes. This week's Chiefs are the Green Bay Packers in red uniforms and they're about to experience what Green Bay did twice last year going up against Detroit.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs D-Line is going to get overwhelmed with two starters missing. Detroit's Pro Bowl laden O-Line may well be the best in the league and all KC has to offer are backups and wishful thinking.

If they were the Super Bowl champs it'd be a different story. They're not and it won't be. What to expect is Detroit vs Green Bay Part Three. Further, this Lions team is significantly better than that Lions team.

Get his name right b1tch

Rodgers with a D.

I fail to believe that Aaron Rodgers 1.01 is any better than Aaron Rodgers 1.0 when the Kelse upgrade gets uninstalled.

There's two silent D's in there, mirroring the Kansas City efensive line.

I'm seeing quite a bit of blue in the stands, many in front rows 40-50-40 yard lines.

I usually do the best betting NFL, including lots of player props (the fantasy addiction helps a lot there).  I have had some luck with baseball player hit parlays this season though.

Definitely ready for football to start. Have a few wagers on tonight's game and countless fantasy implications.

This is when I just focus on my favorite league

I love my quarterback.   If there was ever a guy, who consensuallly wanted me to stick my tongue up his buttj0le...

It wouldn't be pat because I would keep my distance and maintain health safety protocols because I wouldn't want something I did to cause him to miss time.

Lol this guy.  Good for you.  Exciting times.

Lions rookies did well in the offseason. No obvious busts. Those taken in the first two rounds: Gibbs, Branch, LaPorta, and Campbell should all see plenty of playing time, the other four all made the roster and add depth. Also a ninth, an undrafted rookie Holmes found, got plucked off waivers onto Arizona's 53 man roster. So, the early impression around here is that Brad Holmes did it again for a third straight year but we'll see how it goes when the action turns live.

If I'm the Lions I keep attacking up the middle until we prove we can stop it though

I would never feel this or think to type it. Not about Steve Yzerman, Barry Sanders, Justin Verlander, Isiah Thomas or anyone else.

Good stand by the Lions.   I still like defense.

Campbell is crazy on 4th down. He clearly trusts his OLine and doesn't respect Chiefs run defense.

In my main league am starting goff over tua, along with sun god and sky moore.

I have swapped goff and tua many times this week and was the toughest call in any of my leagues this week. So far so good.

That went well, hopefully we get three more quarters of the same with the Lions eating clock and driving the ball.

Tua will be retired by week 4 after suffering another concussion following a mild sneeze.
