This must be what you’re referring to. 

His arguments, per se, are not extremist. What makes him extremist is that the majority of the Congress doesn’t agree with him, and he’s trying to force his will by threatening a shutdown. It’s blackmail, it will absolutely fail, and he will have achieved nothing except hurt a lot of people. 
 

He’s also lying when he says “we’re going to have negotiate with Democrats” because his ideas are a total anathema to Democrats and he knows it. So there is nothing ti negotiate and he knows it.

You also asked what I adamantly disagree with. Three issues most of all: 

1. We’re not going to cut off aid to Ukraine. The majority of the Congress does not agree. Neither does the President. If you want this to happen elect a new Congress and President but until then don’t try to force it on the rest of us. 
 

2. His cuts to non discretionary spending are way too severe, will hurt tons of people and won’t make the slightest difference to the deficit or debt. They’re not a good start; they’re just stupid. Cuts like this will end up costing us more than we would ever save (which is nothing.) 

3. His ideas for the border are just asinine. Yes it’s a big problem but Republicans have no proposal other than to increase border security and start reporting people. They don’t want to tackle the reasons that cause people to come here illegally in the first place, they don’t want to engage in any reasonable revamping of our immigration system, and they don’t want to deal with the millions of people already here. Gaetz and people like him are a broken record on this issue and it’s infuriating. Nativism doesn’t work.

the point is someone like gaetz can vote against Ukraine funding and it puts some responsibility to who votes for what. Right now he’s forced to vote for war machine to continue funding SS for example.

I’m not necessarily opposed to that idea. But it’s probably unrealistic to expect that a majority of politicians would ever accept it. 
What I’m opposed to is Gaetz and others saying “since we didn’t get what we want we’re shutting it down.”

From what I understand, there is going to be a shutdown because the uniparty wants to vote on the package all at once instead of breaking it up into clear, easy to understand spending authorizations. I know when I have work done on my house that I don’t want a breakdown of the costs. That would be time consuming.  I just get the bill, no  questions asked.

3. The Ukraine funding isn’t part of the House CR but it will get done between House and Senate, guaranteed. Funding will not stop.

So basically what happened is McCarthy surrendered to the Democrats; he folded and gave them what he promised conservatives he would never give: a clean CR without the approval of his caucus. 
 

The next thing that is going to happen, I predict, is that Matt Gaetz is going to fold and never carry out his threat to remove McCarthy as speaker. Because in the end he doesn’t have the balls to do it. 
 

Today is a huge victory for the Democrats, for Joe Biden, for Kevin McCarthy and the remaining establishment Republicans, and for the American people. It’s a huge defeat for MAGA Republicans and for Donald Trump in particular. I expect his head is exploding right about now.
