I am 70 miles north of the stadium. Heavy rain a few hours ago. Mild/none at the moment.

9ers have a DL with players picked at 2,2,4,14,17 in their drafts.  Plus Gregory and Hargrave.  Plus Drake Jackson a 2nd rounder from a year or 2 ago.

The scenario that favors gb:

get the ball and score first (something they are good at). Love is a good young qb, but lean on jones to keep sf offense off of the field. Put the pressure on sf to finish drives. Sf can have slow starts.

if sf gets early momentum, I think it’s over

Yeah, I'm about 50 miles NE and it's the same. Supposed to rain later though.

I haven’t looked at any splits, but that may hold true for all games

Thanks!

We have some friends coming over today. We should find some time for a geek meat though. Maybe we can head up that way when the weather warms up and hit a winery or two.

Not a good matchup for Green Bay and they will need a near perfect game for this young team to pull it off. That being said, if the O'line plays like it has in the last 8 weeks and can keep the game balanced they could have some success passing the ball.  Even if Aaron Jones only has 25 yards rushing on 8 attempts, the Packers will need to keep running the ball, firstly, because AJones can always break one and two to keep the play-action game alive, that's were Love is best. On defense, they can't let McCaffrey beat them out of the backfield or it's going to be a long day. Gary and Smith are going to need to generate pressures from nickel sets to have a chance on defense, those two are going to need to win a lot.  The secondary has been fairly solid all year long and will have to stay that way.

As a Packer fan who earned my long-suffering stripes, I always believe a win is possible, but if they pull this off, I'd consider it one of the most significant wins since they finally beat the Cowboys in the 90's.

Packers are young, talented and scrappy. NIners better bring their A game

Anders Carlson brother of Dan is a rookie kicker and hasn't been trustworthy.   Leads league in missed PATs.

I'm not seeing the rain and that field doesn't look too sloppy, yet.

Sky is looking dark in that background though. 🍿

Nice first drive by the Pack, although it only ended in three. Then a stop. Keep it up.

First glance, I thought he was short.  Replay looked close

Nice stop. They need to put some points on the board on this drive.
