There is NO Way I will click on a vox link.  I don't need that messing up my algorithm.  I'm Ok with a few left sites and I do look here and there...CNN, NBC, MSNBC for instance.  But Vox and Huffpost?  Good god no

Just type in Mark Robinson. There’s literally a dozen articles that show up talking about how crazytown he is. Lots of different sources; choose one you like.

Oh not discounting what Mr Robinson may have said.   Just pointing out how Vox and Huffpost are the worst of the worst on the left.   Not surprised you read them though

Even this, from the National review, points out how dishonest Huffpost is.   I mean thats telling you something

Thanks. I don’t read HuffPost. I read Vox from time to time if the subject is interesting to me. I go in knowing their perspective. I also enjoy reading National Review, and I know THEIR perspective as well. I haven’t found either to be dishonest.

Of course you haven't.   You claim CNN isn't biased.    We have discussed this.  You are the last person in the world who anyone should listen to when it comes to media bias.

Looking forward to the State of the Union speech tonight…

OK not really. They’re usually so boring and Joe Biden is not exactly an inspiring public speaker. But I’m a political junkie so I will be watching. if I can I will provide a running commentary. Lol

I already know that Biden will make the case for a good economy. I know his arguments, know the rebuttals, so it doesn’t interest me that much. I also know that he will push for Ukraine funding. Again I think we all know the arguments and rebuttals and we shouldn’t expect anything new there. There are 3 items that interest me:

1. The border. What will Biden propose now? How much executive authority will he take?

2. Israel. Kamala Harris was pretty critical and called for a ceasefire. Will Biden actually criticize Netanyahu publicly? How far will he go?

3. Trump. Now that he’s got the nomination will Biden go after him hard?

Wow that’s quite the interpretation. Not what I heard but hey I’ll accept the possibility that there’s some context here. Unfortunately it’s one comment out of literally dozens.

Care to explain the Moon landing hoax, the Holocaust denial, the accusation that George Soros funded Boko Harem terrorism, calling gay people “filth”, wanting a ban for all abortions with no time period, no exceptions allowed? If you do there’s always plenty more.

Well then I'm not going to waste my time showing more context, like how his "filth" comment was in the context of teaching stuff in schools (admittedly worse than the women voting comment, but still, context).

I love the Left and their selective interpretation of quotes:

Trump:  "I won't be a dictator, other than day one." (in the context of executive orders)

Left:  "He said he wants to be a dictator he said it it's the end of democracy$#@!"

Also

Hamas:  "We exist to destroy Israel, and if our people suffer so that we can accomplish that goal, so be it."

Left: "You don't mean that, you just want a little patch of land to call your own.  Plus you are on the intersectional oppression scale, so you can't do wrong.  Here is a boatload of money, I'm sure you'll use it to help your suffering women and children.  Meanwhile we'll call Israel meanies for fighting you."

Bias and dishonesty aren’t the same. Vox is definitely biased. Dishonesty suggests they’re lying.

And your elitist-establishment media is extremely dishonest.   And I think biased is too nice of a word for them.  They have strict controls on what they can say.  Our media is no better than Russian or Chinese media except the illusion many still have that it is somehow independant of our corporate-government power structure.

You’re really stretching to find excuses for Robinson. I barely touched on his craziness- since my initial post I learned that that he thinks 9/11 was an inside job and believes lizard men control the Earth. Defend him if you want he’s the biggest embarrassment for the GOP since  that 10 Commandments dude from Alabama- well other than Trump that is.

This isn’t leftist hyperbole. The left has its crazies and always has; the right has its crazies and always have. The difference is that the left hasn’t allowed its crazies to take over. You guys have. When you opened up the Pandora’s box that was Sarah Palin you allowed for the wackos to be given respect and treated like normal. Now, with Trump, they dominate your party.

The best thing Joe Biden can do tonight is say “Hey I’m normal.” In the end that might be enough.

Such statements really don’t serve you well.

Unfortunately, the media does not serve us.  Instead of being a watchdog of the government and corporate elites serving its essential role as a check for the people, our media has been infiltrated for decades and is now nothing but a mouthpiece beating the drums for whatever propaganda they want us to be fed.  Today our media is a total embarrassment and a complete disgrace and deserves such comparisons.

So Biden is announcing tonight that he is creating an artificial port to supply humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Don’t get me wrong; this is a good thing. I very much want to help the people of Gaza. But the reason we have to create this artificial port is because Israel is blocking aid to Gaza though more conventional means. And the reason that Israel is able to block that aid is because we are supplying them with money and weapons to do so.

What a mess this is. What is our endgame here? What is Israel’s endgame? The destruction of Hamas is what they say but it appears to be an intangible goal- I don’t think they can truly destroy Hamas any more than we could the Taliban. So what now?

I simply, completely, reject your analysis. And I think it’s an insult to the thousands of hard working people who chose journalism as a career and believe it is their duty to report the news objectively.

Today 40 percent of people have no trust in the media.  Another 30 percent say they have not very much trust in the media.   Then there are 30 percent mindless buffoons who accept the BS they are fed.

The problem is I don't buy into the characterization of this guy.  Sure he has probably said some crazy stuff over the years, but the laundry list of what you think he said is twisted lies.  He says stuff like we don't need to worry about the Nazi's because we take care of them a long time ago.  The media twists thst into that he us a Nazi lover.  It is just like the Tucker non-sense.  Just because he interviewed Putin does not mean he is some kind of Russian age t or Russian-loving traitor.  It is so tiring listening to the obnoxious spin.

And besides, I really don't care if some governor of NC believes their are aliens running around, as long as he stands for upholding the principles which make this country great....freedom, equality, justice.

Hell, you guys support Biden who will be damn lucky to make it through tonight without looking like he belongs in a nursing home.  I am praying thst he looks good, because I want him on the ticket in November.  I would support some guy with some crazy ideas that has a grasp on what America stands for, over some mindless puppet who is completely controlled by some unknown group of elitist bastards who crave power.  Biden can't find his way to the potty, he is certainly not running this country.

Emotions and feelings will ALWAYS be a top priority for liberals.  That's not a dig, it's just fact.  The guy could end up governing extremely well, but it will always come down to their feelings.

It is pure mind control.  Our government has been perfecting techniques to control the population since the 1950s.  They habe become damn good at it, but they are jumping the shark and people are waking up to their games.

The right rejects the Covid vaccine, you reject the science behind climate change, most of you think that Trump won the last election and that Obama was born in Kenya. Yet liberals are the ones who judge by their feelings?? OK.
Now more than ever, the Democrats are the rational ones. We’re the ones that believe in reason and common sense. We don’t live in Fantasyland.

They’re speculating on MSNBC if the crazy House members are going to shout stuff and try to interrupt Biden. Mike Johnson warned them not to, but will they listen to him? They’d better make sure Lauren Boebert doesn’t bring a boyfriend….

This could really be a deal killer for Biden.  If he can not go on stage and read a speech they are going to remove him from the ticket.  This is a very low bar, but it is about 50-50 if he can clear it.

SOTU speeches are generally pretty long, like an hour plus.  LBJ and Reagan gave two of the shortest SOTU addresses at around 40 minutes.   Biden's will be under 30.

So I checked out your Vox  link and chose the "women shouldn't be allowed to vote" claim, which took me to a HuffPo  link.  There, at least, they had his quote and a video of what (and how) he said it.

So, somebody asked Owens that idiotic hypothetical.  Robinson said he'd pick the women because, and read closely, people were fighting for real social change (and Republicans led that change).  If you understand English, he is saying that the fight for women voting was worth fighting for.

Now, I don't expect you to grasp this, let alone agree.  But I figured I'd explain it anyway.

4-1 odds that Biden is the Democratic nominee for President. Any amount.

@Engorgeous George bet $500. @Cdub100 bet $25 but doesn’t trust me and insisted on somebody holding the money. Somebody else bet me too I can’t remember who.

I’ve also offered even odds on Biden winning.

@Horseman says I’m a sucker for offering 4-1 odds but he refuses to wager.
