When you reclassify felonies as misdemeanors and you stop prosecuting criminal activity, the violent crime rate will go down.

Who is doing that?  Who is reclassifying murder as jaywalking?

Please stop lying to us.  We're not stupid enough to believe you?

Yep. When it's not on the books, it doesn't happen. :dunno:

Liberals are so stupid.

Imagine people actually defending the soft-on-crime policies of Liberal Prosecutors.  They actually exist - as evidenced by this discussion.  Amazing.

1) There is nothing in here about murder

2) The decriminalization started in 1992 and has been ongoing ever since, so why did crime go up during Trump and then back down after Trump?  CA decided to start getting tough on crime during the Trump years but then stopped after?

3) You're telling us the "soft on crime policies" were halted during the Trump years?  Stop lying to us.  We're not this dumb.

lol I didn’t realize this thread was started by @jonnyutah.  Dude loves citing misleading stats apparently.  Although at least when he’s done it more recently he’s cited his source, which he did not do here.

One of two things has happened here.

1. You have no idea where this data is from, even though i have told you, and you are pretending as if I made it up because it makes your feelings of inadequacy temporarily go away. Some other people like squab boy might also not know and then they may even like your post or trade PMs with you. I know having a father that hates you has been tough so hopefully that makes you feel better.

2. You know where the data comes from and you just lie so you can feel affirmed. Being such a feminine guy has also been hard on you and so I understand. I mean it is your fault chief, but I dont want you to always feel inadequate in life so I will play along.

Oh man you sure got me!

Wrong on both counts.  I was the one that cited your source for you because you’re a coward, and I also pointed out how you were trying to mislead with it.  For one, the metric you cited declined in 2021 vs 2020.  You also focused on one specific metric when really most of them were comparable to 2018.

Oh and by the way the new report is out.  I’ll be eagerly awaiting your next thread talking about how violent crime (as you defined it) is down 11%, and just about flat to 2018.

Better luck next time.  Maybe you should go falsely accuse some more mayors of taking advantage of Haitians.

not sure if anyone has posted this. But when lapd and nypd aren’t reporting of course crime is down

LAPD and NYPD reportedly lower crime individually, so yes crime is down even with those numbers.

Have you been a victim of a violent crime in LA or NY? Report it.

bro, all I am saying is that they changed the reporting to the DOJ according to this new system

also please show me where to get the number so everyone can individually report a crime to the FBI

This is irrelevant to the crime victimization survey which I linked the update for (and was the basis for the data in the OP, even though the OP did not cite his source)

wait, we think crime is determined by surveys now?

FYI I saw a piece on crime reporting this morning, and I hadn't read any of this thread, I read this page only and posted what I learned

Well here’s you citing the same survey. It does actually seem to have a decent methodology though.

Rape And Sexual Assault Among College-Age Females, 1995-2013

Sofi Sinozich, Lynn Langton, Ph.D., Bureau of Justice Statistics

December 11, 2014 NCJ 248471

Compares the characteristics of rape and sexual assault victimization against females ages 18 to 24 who are enrolled and not enrolled in college. This report examines the relationship between the victim and offender, the involvement of a weapon, location of the victimization, reporting to police, perceived offender characteristics, and victim demographics. Data are from the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS), which collects information on nonfatal crimes, reported and not reported to the police, against persons from a nationally representative sample of U.S. households. The report also discusses methodological differences between the NCVS and other surveys that measure rape and sexual assault victimization and the impact of these difference on rape and sexual assault estimates.

Highlights:

  • The rate of rape and sexual assault was 1.2 times higher for nonstudents (7.6 per 1,000) than for students (6.1 per 1,000).
  • For both college students and nonstudents, the offender was known to the victim in about 80% of rape and sexual assault victimizations.
  • Most (51%) student rape and sexual assault victimizations occurred while the victim was pursuing leisure activities away from home, compared to nonstudents who were engaged in other activities at home (50%) when the victimization occurred.
  • The offender had a weapon in about 1 in 10 rape and sexual assault victimizations against both students and nonstudents.
  • Rape and sexual assault victimizations of students (80%) were more likely than nonstudent victimizations (67%) to go unreported to police.

no fricking opinion here

and just to help you out, that is less than 1% of all women no matter how you look at it

Violent crimes have increased under Biden-Harris admin despite Dems' denials: expert

This is really nothing to do with "Biden/Harris" and far more to do with Liberalism.   The inclination of Liberals to elevate the position of the criminal above that of the victim as an ideological centerpiece is the real problem.

What is happening to our country is hard to believe. That so many Americans can't see what's going on. The total perversion of our country, which is run by sex trafficking pedophiles.

This Diddy case has a lot of people's attention. They see how Justin Beiber was treated as a kid, and they are now realizing wtf happened to him.

Not reporting crimes or decriminalized things like theft is just another part of the plan.

Correct.  The criminal has been redesignated by liberals to be the actual victim, and those being victimized are those who "have" and thus are the real evil.

This aligns rather well with their Marxist philosophy and the farcical notion that all people are good, some behave less well because they are just victims of this system that subjugates them.

When in fact the system simply elevates those who deserve and does not help those who do not deserve.
