If you're going to opine about being saddened that folks take the media as truth you have to look at your own side doing the same thing and be honest with yourself.

I think the impact is minimal honestly. A considerably large number of people vote based on the letter behind a candidate's name (which I would argue is the absolute wrong way to approach voting).

Sinclair broadcasting- which owns a considerably large number of major network affiliates around the country will evne force its local stations to air programs with a conservative slant. Not to mention that we have places like X that are allowing more and more for disinformation to burrow its way into the national conversation and the playing field levels quite a bit more.

@jerryskids I want to get back to your justification for labeling Kamala Harris a socialist. Earlier you offered as one of your primary reasons her former support for Medicare for all, but since the vast majority of western and capitalist countries have some sort of universal healthcare system, I don’t see how this can be defined as a socialist position. One might as well argue that having public schools is a socialist position (indeed some libertarians do make this argument, and against public roads as well, but it’s extreme.) 

It seems to me that most of your arguments aren’t against Kamala per se but against the mainstream positions of the Democratic Party, which do involve government involvement in certain aspects of private industry but not government takeover of most private industry. Therefore I don’t think it’s socialism.

And since you asked, fox news viewership is through the roof because they are very good at what they do, which is scare and manipulate their viewers to watch.  They appeal to low IQ voters through fear with the constant alerts and the wall to wall doom and gloom and only showing stories that keep people connected to their tvs

Of course OAN and Newsmax are biased.  But a serious person doesn't think that a centrist or generally apolitical person is going to pop on OAN to catch up on the news.  They are going to use the left-leaning sources I listed, because of a misperceived notion that they are unbiased sources.
