Laws should be way tougher here. The thing I read is that something like 70 million people own firearms but only 1000 of these type of cases come up a year and they are generally added on after the person was busted for another serous crime. In any case let Hunter take his turn up there. This guy strikes me as a huge asshat. 28 minutes ago, thegeneral said: I don’t know what those are. 3 minutes ago, thegeneral said: Do I? I don’t really care too much that a bunch of people want to pretend they are cowboys, gangsters, shoot deer, etc. I do think it should be way harder to buy, keep a gun though. If you break any gun laws string em up. Maybe that will keep me from accidentally getting shot. It also is pretty obvious this is only a case because he’s Biden’s kid. It’s funny the timing is literally a couple days after all Trump’s ballwashers spent all week clutching their pearls about the fall of democracy as we know it because of a political witch hunt trial

I thought it was lying about using drugs when buying the gun and using drugs while having the gun. Hunter Biden purchased a Colt Cobra . 38 Special revolver, and it remained in his possession for 11 days before it was discarded in an outdoor receptacle by Hallie Biden, his romantic partner at the time. I am just reading the news, giving a gun to someone to dispose of in the trash, they should both be charged, thats not responsible gun ownership

I find that funny. In 2019 on 27 million 4473s filed there were 478 people were reported to federal prosecutors for lying on the form and making a false statement in a firearms transaction record . Of those 298 were actually prosecuted. So when they are caught prosecution is rather common. Where you are actually correct is the law that bars users of illegal drugs or drug addicts from possessing a firearm. fewer than 150 Americans are prosecuted for that crime each year. But I am gratified that you can at least recognize spurious prosecution, even if only where it suits your political bias

I would add to that from what I read the majority of these charges are added on after the person had committed serious crimes with the gun. Lock em up, you want to buy a gun you should be held accountable. 478 out of 27 million When do all the Biden Bros start showing up at the trial dressed up like Hunter crying about how it’s the end of the country! I think it was bullsh!t when Hunter was gifted a free pass originally, and I presume the main reason they go after him now is in the hope he flips on Joe, which is silly...he will never flip on his dad....so this is all just insipid nonsense. Mike Honcho 5,281 Posted June 7, 2024 One question about the trial, I read this "The point of this evidence was clear enough. Biden “was a user of crack and a drug addict,” Hines said in his opening statement, who “chose to lie on a federal form” to buy the gun; it is illegal to purchase a firearm if you are an unlawful user of, or addicted to, a controlled substance. " So how is it possible that they have guns in Florida?
