It wasn’t so bad in 2008, at least from the Obama campaign. But they had to go there, with full force, when the occupy Wall Street movement was getting legs before 2012 and we started hearing all about the “one percent”.  Obama had no way to mute the criticisms of him pandering to the donor class, so they whipped out racism and identity politics and all the leftards ran to that, as directed by their media overlords. We don’t hear much about the one pct anymore from the left.
