This is great news. It’s another reason to vote for Biden since Trump will surely reverse this. Hundreds of thousands of families will be protected now. Damn this is such a good thing.

Like a lot of moves of his, this could backfire.  Polls show illegal immigration and our borders are a big issue for a lot of Americans.  And, like me, many will say this is another reason to vote for Trump.  As an EO, it can be rescinded on day one.

I don't have a problem with the executive order.  To me, this is probably the easiest and best way to deal with this group of people.

That said, the order doesn't sway me in either direction.  If it never came into existence, I wouldn't have cared either.

I regard it as a reasonable opinion to hold that all illegal immigrants should be deported regardless of their heartwarming backstory.  If exceptions are to be made those exceptions ought to come from congress such as the U-Visa exception.  They ought not to come from the executive branch of government and in particular not during an election year.
