So the answer is no, no president has ever done a mass fire and hire loyal to a man.  Other president have hired people working towards common goals, but there was never any loyalty to a man.  It's always been loyalty to country, loyalty to ideals, etc.

The people Trump wants to fire ARE NOT APPOINTED staff right now. They are civil servants. Our neighbors that work for the government. They do not get fired or laid off when administrations change. They are the people that make the government go, that know their roles and what they entail.

Trump wants to fire these nonpartisan experts in their fields and replace them with individuals that are qualified only in that they are loyal to him. So when he starts pulling illegal shlt, no one is left to tell him no, like they did last time when he suggested stuff like shooting protestors.

Tl;dr: Trump wants to fire people that have been hired for their skills, not appointed. Then replace them with appointed loyalists. It is stupid, reckless, authoritarian, and anti-American. No doubt you're fine with it.
