ESPN fires Sam Ponder, who spoke up about trans inclusion in women's sports, and analyst Robert Griffin III

Recommended Posts

She always seemed to have extremely large hands when she was sideline reporting.   No commentary other than that.  It just stood out.

1 Thessalonians 4:7.  For God did not call us to uncleanliness, but in Holiness.

1 Timothy 1:8-10.   But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully.

Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane , for murderers of fathers and mothers, for manslayers.

For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing this is contrary to sound doctrine.

That’s who’s running this world today,  society wants to remove Jesus Christ out of the way, and have replaced him with the devil.   That’s not a wise decision,  Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior.  Amen Thanks

Fock these woke companies.  Seriously - take a flamethrower to these people.  Is there anything worse than taking someone’s livelihood away from them?  For a simple, common-sense opinion that is shared by over 50% of the population?  Burn it down.

No, she wasn't fired because she spoke out on trans inclusion in women's sports.

She was let go in a cost cutting move.

I’ve got a few friends at espn.  Word is that the Liberal group-think is so over-the-top that it’s become downright creepy.  Wouldn’t be surprised if Kirk Herbstreit gets whacked next.  He’s disgusted with the political climate and isn’t biting his tongue like he used to.

You don’t know what you’re talking about here.  Big downsizing.  They cut a whopping two people.  And they’re not saving a focking dime.  Both are going to still get paid through the end of their contracts.  Sam had one year left on her 3 year deal for $3M.  Think about that dumbasss.

For the record, I don’t think she was fired for that one comment.  But I know for a fact she’s a religious, conservative woman who’s not afraid to speak her mind.  And at Liberal ESPN, where talent evaluation is highly subjective and heavily reliant on Producers’ assessments of things like “team dynamics”, that’s a death sentence.

I might be wrong, but doesn’t the article say that her and RG3 will still be paid?

Man, you're just going to go down with that ship, huh?  Good for you.  This is so dumb, I'll join your side.

Clearly cost cutting.  These two employees were clearly using so much more electricity than everyone else and eating so many complimentary breakfast bars, it's better to pay them to stay home instead of work.  Surprised these magatards can't see that.

ESPN realized we can hire any pretty girl or ex athlete with ambition to read off a teleprompter, then when they ask for a raise, bye bye on to the next one. People will watch regardless.

It’s kind of sad seeing the Leftists in here reduced to babbling idiots on a daily basis.  It’s not even fun anymore.

Everything has to be political with you weirdos....it's tiring

WE’RE making it political???  That’s rich.  It’s a known fact that espn is one of the most woke companies in the country.  It’s completely dominated by Left-wing ideologues.  They’re proud of it.

And it’s well known at espn that if you’re going to post on social media, you better not espouse anything overly conservative.  Sam Ponder posted against Algerian boxer Imane Khelif on X.  Dan Orlovski made a similar post, but was smart enough to take it down, saying: “When you’re an employee of a big company, your social media page doesn’t just get to be your social media page.  That’s a fantasy, so you have to represent yourself and the company that you work for in the proper way.”

Read his statement carefully and think about Dan’s post which he took down - “Protect our daughters.”  Two weeks later Sam ponder is fired in what is being called a cost-cutting measure.  But espn isn’t saving a dime by firing her.  They still have to pay out the remaining year of her contract.  They could have just let her contract expire at the end of the year, so it’s actually going to cost them more money to fire her and bring in someone to replace her.  And when was the last time you saw a corporate downsizing that only cut 2 employees?  Oh, and the other employee just so happened to also post “unpopular” opinions on social media.

We didn’t making it political.  ESPN did.  And if you don’t believe that you’re just plain ignorant.

I just learned what Sam Ponder actually said. I wonder if Khelif will add her to the lawsuit.

What did she say?  I don’t see comments specific to Khelif.  Just that she added a clapping emoji in response to Kirk Herbstreit (who was not fired) saying “of course not” to the question of whether men belong in women’s sports, and then someone asked her to define a woman and she said XX.

"ENOUGH is what all of us should be saying. Proud of this woman." on Aug 1st, in response to someone who posted an Angela Carini quote. "After the second blow, I couldn't breathe anymore. I went to my coach, and said "enough", cause it takes courage and maturity to stop. I didn't feel like fighting anymore.". Ponder was essentially calling Khelif trans.

So why did they fire her when she's under contract and very good at her job?

Yet you'd be ok if they replaced her with a DEI Tranny who's never watched a sport. That's what's tiring 🌈
