I could post dozens of links regarding all the businesses that closed under Trump pre-COVID, and you'd still turn a blind eye to supply-and-demand economics and only focus on the negative aspects of today's economy because it makes you feel all warm and toasty inside. Businesses rise and fall regardless of who is president, thanks to consumer trends and management. Of course Subway locations were going to close due to overpopulation, the inability to find employees in this economy, the lingering effects of their greatest spokesman being a pedophile and crapass sandwiches. But go ahead and blame it all on a president! Hang on..if you COULD link an article showing all the business closing pre Covid....Why didn't you? You had to know showing a post covid business closing link would get rightfully shot down immediately. So you set your own table there big fella..Not sure what to tell you

It's a shame that people are so beholden to businesses anymore that a business declining has to be the politician's fault and not the fault of bad management. If i need toothpaste, why get in my car, drive to Walgreens, wait in line, deal with "the public" when I can just go click, click, click and it's on my porch tomorrow. That's certainly a big part of it. I make one huge order annually, around this time of year. Toothpaste, TP, body wash, shampoo, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc. and even some food items like lawrys fajita and taco seasoning, Ortega taco sauce, sweet baby rays BBQ sauce, etc.

Alias Detective 1,389 Posted October 16, 2024 3 hours ago, Death said: Amazing that the Biden-Harris America gets blamed for closures attributed to people going online instead. Amazing that people politicize fundamental economics that have nothing to do with who is president. Amazing that Red Lobster and Walgreens get singled out as economic failures while those who do so turn a blind eye to the record-setting stock market, low unemployment and other positive economic indicators. Truelly amzing! The market and economy aren't the same. The people with the money are making bank. Those who don't have are struggling. There, you learned something. :thumbs up:

TimHauck 2,620 Posted October 17, 2024 700 of the 1200 stores are not planned to be closed until after 2025. So either they think Harris is going to win, or they don’t think Trump can save them.

It's not over until inflation is 2% and interest rates back to normal. They raised interest rates 12 times and there has only been one cut. We're in the middle of it. Raise tariffs. Reduce other taxes. Costs to customers stay the same. Advantage to american manufacturing is realized. In order to argue against tariffs and in favor of raising other taxes you have to present an argument as to why tariffs make their way to the customer, but other taxes dont.
