The economy crashed and burned and started to recover when most the big banks reported to be in better financial condition than the market feared.   That is why we recovered.   The stimulus packages were a bandaid.

As she brings independent thinking and necessary oversight to her new role, I am counting on her to ensure the safety and civil liberties of American citizens remain rigorously protected.

I might disagree.  I have observed Murkowski and Collins, and others, voting more centrist/left on occasion.   I would hesitate to suddenly declare them terrified given their strong stands in the past.
