Well said. Likewise. Good to remember that we are all Americans, and on the same side, even if we argue about everything.

And since I am on call for the holiday and cannot attend my normal festivities as a result, I might very well be here on Thanksgiving, continuing to argue. Or I'll skip it and enjoy watching football in an empty, quiet house.

I know, last year, but it’s worth remembering not all of us get to be home for the holiday. Cheers.

Funny you brought that up. This year I'll be at home by myself by choice (well a buddy is coming over later on) and I CAN'T WAIT!

Best to you and yours this Thanksgiving, SID6!

Just a note of best wishes to one and all for a great holiday, filled with serious doses of tryptophan, football, beer/wine/etc, family/friends, etc. Have an awesome weekend.

A family member is bringing a turduken stuffed with oyster dressing. Can’t wait.

Oooohhh. You have redeemed yourself for the oyster stuffing. I have no idea what goes into creole mac and cheese, being from the Nort'. But it sounds spectacular. And unlike most northerners, I have a definite affinity for SoCo and Nawlins style slushy drinks.

Best way to describe it from AI

Creole mac and cheese is a rich, flavorful twist on the classic comfort food, incorporating Creole seasoning and often other ingredients like andouille sausage or seafood for a spicy kick and depth of flavor.

HERE WE GO! I was mainly wondering what kind of meat would be best in it; was thinking andouille, shrimp or lobster. I ain't from the south, but can't get enough cajun/creole food. What about the cheese?

A sharp cheddar typically, or a mix.

What’s the fascination with cornbread stuffing in the south? I don’t get it

My mom made it every thanksgiving and Christmas. She would put turkey liver chopped up and also in her gravy. No better leftover than cold cornbread stuffing, gravy, white bunny bread, and mayo, with a touch true mash potatoes. I think about it every thanksgiving.
