Trump 2.0: A Survival Guide for Democrats

Great article, from one of  @jerryskids favorite news sources:

Just awful. I should have realized before starting it that anything you like would be terrible reading.

Democrats will defeat Trump by letting him be Trump. In less than two weeks he’s already made a fool and fockup of himself a dozen times, and had to cave several times. He’s an idiot and a coward. I’d be embarrassed for you because you voted for him, but then I’m already embarrassed for you.

Gonna be a long four years since you’re triggered by everything.

Not at all. It’s fun to comment but that’s not the same as triggered. I was triggered by the threat of tariffs I suppose. Most of the rest is just a big circus show.

In two weeks, Trump has been the most consequential president in my lifetime, and there is not even a remote 2nd.  He is actively cutting 30 percent of the federal workforce which will translate into trillions of dollars in savings over the coming decades.  He has gutted out terrible DEI policies which has been a cancer inside our government.   He has reversed Biden's stealth open border policies.  He has pulled us out of terrible global warming treaties.  He is appointing leaders who are going to gut out the waste, fraud and abuse of our Federal agencies.  The fact that you think he is weak shows what a brainwashed buffoon you have become.  Wake up, you are being completely manipulated by the deep state media.

Tim and I must be living in different countries, not just different sides of the same country. From a blue state on the east coast all I’m seeing is win after win after win for Trump. Meanwhile, on the other side Tim is somehow under the impression that Trump has focked up and made a fool of himself. Good thing most of the country is seeing what I am

What we're witnessing is the greatest executive power consolidation in American history.  It's great if you bend to authoritarianism like yourself.  For freedom living Americans it's a disaster.

He has broken the law multiple times, violates the constitution multiple times, taken the fiscal power from Congress and bootlickers like you cheer him on.  You hate freedom and gladly give it all up to one man.  You hate checks and balances and the constitution.

You craved a king and you got it. People like you are appalling.  You're not an American. You're a beta cucks bootlicker willing to bend over for anyone charming enough to fool you.  A low IQ cultist who handed America over to a bunch of fascists.  You should be ashamed of yourself.

Explain why you are so for DEI and the appointment of people based on their skin color or gender?

Two different things.  Your idea of DEI is not accurate.  I do not support appointing or hiring people based on color or gender.  In fact it is illegal to hire someone based on skin color or gender.

I do support equal opportunities and fairness.  Those are fundamental concepts of humanity.  Sorry if you don't agree.

Yeah, I don’t think Dems are the ones going to need a survival guide. Reps will be mocked and ridiculed forever when this is done.

How does DEI promote fairness?  Who is it Kilroy that is a recruiter and has said over and over he has been told they don't want white people?  They say they need people that doesnt look like him.

Kilroy is probably lying or if he's smart he would sue any employer that has hired based on race and make bank 🤣

So thats all you got?  You dont think companies gloss over qualified white people in order to get their quotas?  Really?

So what is DEI to you and how does it promote fairness?

Kilroy does not seem like the type of person to make something up to win an internet fight.

Also, since he is a recruiter, he wouldn't have standing for such a suit (he isn't the one harmed), and if he tried anyway, it would be a long, expensive endeavor that probably wouldn't amount to much besides making him a pariah in the recruiting industry.

racial quotas are illegal boyo.  If you're going to attempt to have a conversation on DEI at least understand what it is.

DEI is about giving equal opportunities to everyone regardless of race, sex, etc.  It's about having programs and practices in place to help drive equal outcomes as well.

DEI is not about quotas or hiring unqualified people based on their race.

The only thing I can think Kilroy might have said is as a recruiter, the hiring manager asked him for diverse candidates.  So maybe they said "Don't give me all white males, I want a diverse pool of candidates" and there is nothing wrong with that because the hiring manager is not going to hire someone that is unqualified or they will risk losing their job.

We are living, not just in different countries apparently, but in different earths. On my Earth the only wins Trump is achieving is with the groveling Republicans in the Senate for most of his appointments. On just about every other issue he backs down whenever he is challenged. He backed down on the spending freeze, on Columbia, on Canada, on Mexico. Each time he does this he claims victory and most of you suckers buy it but there are no gains made. His biggest splash, the supposed “mass deportation” has been completely performative (even though it has managed to scare the hell out of a lot of innocent people and harmed the economy.) Catch and release is still going on.

To be fair, I’m not expecting big things yet; nor should anyone. It’s only been a few weeks. But on the other hand claiming he’s consequential so far, much less “the most consequential President ever” is just absurd. As to whether or not the public agrees with you, remains to be seen. I was heartened to see his approval numbers drop by 5 points over the weekend, but my real feeling is the public isn’t paying much attention yet. If prices don’t drop (their #1 reason for voting for him) by the midterms he will be in for a world of hurt.

By INCREASING his own power.

Since when did you learn how to have a real conversation anyway? I have yet to see any evidence of that ability from you.

Lol, that is the crap the Trump-hating deep state media spins.  Trump asks for the moon to scare his opponents to get them to negotiate, then comes to reasonable terms.  Trump never expected the moon, he just wants their to be common sense agreements which levels the playing field and/or furthers the safety of our borders.  Yes, it looks like Trump is the one giving in more, but that is how he deals.

OK. Please explain the reasonable terms that Trump got from Mexico and Canada, which were not agreed to by those countries before the tariffs.

That may have been the number one reason why people voted for trump but it certainly is not the only one.   Democrats and their policies are weird. Yet they continue t push the nonsense that no one else likes.

How many times do I have to apologize for saying I was a disabled black lesbian Vietnam Vet, before you let it go, and it wasn't that germane to the argument I was making anyway!  Which I won BTW.

You are too focking dumb to understand because your brain is filled with crap.  Trump is asserting his authority over authoritarian institutions to force them to stop abusing citizens rights.   Only a braindead idiot could construe that to be fascist/authoritarianism.  Trump is liberating the people from the grossly overgrown administrative state that has gotten completely out of control.  Trump is asserting his power be defanging the authoritarian bastards you idiots bootlick for.    You are really too focking dumb to do critical thinking.

This has to be schtick, right?  Like how could anyone believe this? 🤣🤣🤣

Citizens vote for representatives, representatives create laws, and that's authoritarian? But Trump is getting rid of what the people voted for so he can free them? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

He put off the terrifs for 30 days to bring them to the table.  Trump did not care if he put the tariffs on last week, he just wanted to get some urgency into the negotiations which he got.  In your mind he lost, but in reality forcing them to the table to come to terms to address our concerns is the victory.   So in the next 30 days we will see some cooperation between the US and Mexico and Canada to better secure the border and fix some of the trade issues.
