Tee Higgins Franchised. Have to think he’s getting a contract. He’s not playing on that tag until he has to.

Eagles release Big Play Slay. Bummer, but Philly appears very set at DB.

Conmanders trade a 5 for Deebo Samuel.

Detroit interested in Slay. Wouldnt hate that move unless it prevents them from addressing the bigger need or rushing the QB.

I don’t think the Deebo trade is such a big deal. That guy has a lot of city miles on him.

I think Howie may try to bring him back at a lower number. He's not getting big money anymore

From Schefter

Trade: Rams are in the process of sending veteran offensive lineman Jonah Jackson to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round pick, per ESPN’s

@CourtneyRCronin. The trade cannot be processed until March 12.

Jackson is a former Lion. I just asked my friends "who lasts longer in Chicago.....Jackson or Ben Johnson?"

The Raiders trade with the Packers for Adams may be the funniest trade in NFL history.

Maybe, but they could use some consistency at the position. What do you think?

Slay would look good in purple.

Eagles extend Barkley, making him a 20 million dollar a year RB. They are all in for the repeat.

My reasoning why it was the goofiest trade I have seen.

Adams basically on way to 30 years old Packers going new.  They want to do right by him for most part.  Wants to go to Raiders to play with his old QB Carr.  Raiders say hey hoe about a 1st and a 2nd for that approaching 30 year old WR?

Mind you, Raiders were not contenders by any means.  Yet hey they give up a lot for him.  Ok.  Plays with Carr, Carr maybe got hurt yet again?  Dont remember.   Raiders next February say hey Carr been fun but you are released.  So after 1 year of bringing in Adams for 2 high picks, they just dump the whole reason he wanted to be a Raider?   Ok funny enough.  Then next season they say hey we are  going to have Jimmy G and Aiden Oconnell throw to our new shiny WR we paid a 1st and 2nd for!   Adams after the season says F this.  So they trade him to Jets for a 3rd.

On what planet did the Raiders think that was a wise move for the franchise?  In the back of your mind you are that close to being able to say "see ya Carr", the whole reason the player you paid for was on board?  Haha.   When you were not even a contender by any stretch?  Trade high value picks for a vet WR to have those QBs throw to him?  How drunk are some front offices?  What exactly were they trying to accomplish other than waste their time and resources?  They STILL dont have a QB.  Havent even tried.

So instead of 15 does Cook's ask now say 17?

Tellem to take a hike.

They will regret it.  Too much to pay for a RB.

But...he earned it

The salary cap doesn’t exist for Howie Roseman, architect of the  Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. 🦅

Great trade for Washington. Any time you can give up a 5th rounder for a proven, veteran weapon to help your young franchise QB, it’s a big win.

He's been absolutely horrendous. And to pay him 17 million a year :dunno:

Always surprised at how little the so-called top tier WRs always fetch in a trade.

49ers reportedly offer Brock Purdy $45m/year.

Seems low for the MVP.

I have a feeling that a lot of good teams from last year will be good again, and a lot of the bad teams will continue to be bad :dunno:

Bears traded for Thuney

Clears up about $27M in cap space for the Chiefs and the Trey Smith franchise tag makes more sense now.   The Chiefs don't need to be paying the most expensive interior lineman in the league, but definitely appreciated Thuney's play and what he meant to the team the last few years.

It's LT, which is what Thuney played in the Super Bowl although he is a natural guard.

Just doesn't make sense to sign a 33 year old guard to a contract extension when they have a young guy they drafted that played well at LG while Thuney was moved to tackle.   Creed Humphrey at Center and Trey Smith at RG are All-Pro caliber players, so it's not in terrible shape, it's just the main ingredient (LT) which is missing.   The trade gets them a fourth round pick and frees up cap space where hopefully they can address LT.

I also think this is a good trade for the Bears, as you're only getting a year or two out of Thuney but they need to give Williams some protection to help his performance and confidence, and it's not an extremely high pick for them and they have the cap space to add the player.   Sort of feels like a win/win trade for both teams.

They are definitely playing the salary cap different than most teams, with deferrals to future years.

And I'd tell him to take a hike at 15, wayyyy too much cash for a RB. Especially one who plays half the snaps basically.

And on a side note I'm a big Saquon fan, he earned that contract. But I guarantee he won't get through it all healthy.

Been preaching much of the same to my Bills fan friends.

A couple said they needed to resign him a couple weeks ago.  But I think they have cooled on it.
