Tyler Booker was a solid pick, but definitely not a sexy one

I DID get to meet Drew Pearson though

I was all in on Dart as the #1 QB in this class.... closer we got to the draft i'm not so sure, but still like him quite a bit and the Giants didn't give up much in the grand scheme to get him. 

 

Love our Membou pick. I would have probably been okay if they decided to go TE but I think solidifying this offensive line makes the most sense and Membou is the best OL prospect in this draft, imho. Most prototypical RT and most upside. Nice to get visions of that OL circa 2010.  Fashanu, Simpson, Tippman, AVT and Membou.    Shades of Nick, Brick, Brandon Moore, Damien Woody and Matt Slauson. 

TE and WR are still needs. And additional help in the secondary.

Booker is a dog.  I was actually watching the bleacher coverage.   Parsons and Slay were on it.  Parsons didnt love it at first because he wanted defense.  They brought Booker on for a short interview and easily won Parsons over.  Says he likes to make players not like football anymore.  

Would be surprised if he doesnt have a long successful career.

Baltimore always rock solid at drafting.  Pair Starks up with Hamilton.  Will be best saftey duo in the league.  Starks is a player.  

Eagles got another good defender to fall to them.  Not a fan of off the ball LBer in thr first but its pick 31.  Campbell is a good player.  Many people had him earlier to the Bucs.  

As for the Packers finally taking a WR in the first....didnt expect it to be a guy like Golden.  They need speed but surprised when it happened that it was a WR under 6 foot.  (5'11).  They have pretty strong thresholds on positions in round 1.  I myself am not a Golden guy.  Dont hate him but thought he got a little overrated late.  But I cant be mad that they swung on a WR with speed.  Im fine with it.

New York Giants.  Like the first round.  Carter is just a dawg.  Has a chance to be an all time great.  Love that we got him, would have preferred Hunter but Carter is great too.

Dart, well didn't like the trade up but at least it wasn't too much to give up especially seeing what Atlanta gave.  The player, he's a lane kiffin QB.  His stats are what a lane Kiffin QB puts up.  One read system, he ran it well.  Positives, he's athletic, he's young and he's got confidence and leadership skills.

At this point they gotta get their QB.  Dart has more upside than Sanders.  He can sit for a year.  Dabes has to show he can get something out of him.

The Giants have been in on Shadeur all during the 2024 season with scouts at every Colorado game.  Brandon Brown was in Boulder multiple times.  Schoen and Dabes were at the Shrine bowl, he had TWO top 30 visits including just 2 weeks ago, they sent everyone to the Pro Day and this was AFTER Hunter was seen as the consensus 2nd pick.  You don't know what you're talking about.  You don't follow this stuff as closely as I do.  Sanders wore Giant cleats, was throwing balls with Malik, they had a very very extensive evaluation. In the end Daboll wanted Dart so that's who they went with.
