You bring up a good point. I ask myself why the concept you bring up of Biden doing it made me feel reviled and disgusted, whereas when Trump did it, I saw the humor in it immediately. The best I could come up with is that there needs to be an underlying sense of humor there, which is completely absent in the person of Joe Biden, who takes himself too seriously. Among Dem politicians, Al Franken could have gotten away with it.
