supermike80 1,846 Posted Friday at 05:57 PM I've been pretty lucky most of my life. As long as I am laying down, it takes me generally less than 15 minutes to fall asleep and I sleep deeply. 7 to 8 hours a night. If I happen to wake up to pee or something else, I can easily fall back in bed and I am out again. It's a blessing. My wife can maybe sleep 4 solid hours..Maybe..She's a light sleeper and wakes up quite a bit.  I could sleep through a tornado I think. How do you all do with this? patweisers44 822 Posted Friday at 06:00 PM Generally pretty good. I stopped drinking pop for the most part a while back, and focked up recently and had a couple diet cokes in the evening and that messed me up that night. But for the most part no issues get between 7.5 and 9 hours per night.

5-Points 3,414 Posted Friday at 06:28 PM I used to sleep like a log. 8 hours straight (at least) with no problem. These days I'll sleep for 4 to 5 hours and wake up. It will take me at least 2 to 3 hours to fall back to sleep if I ever do. Most days I'll just get up if I'm still awake at 2:30 AM. No sense dozing back off when the alarm goes off at 3AM.

I once fell asleep at a Guns N Roses show. When I'm tired enough, I can sleep through anything. The problem is getting to sleep as a night owl that has to wake up by 5:30 at the latest for work. I normally only get 5-6 hours because I have a tough time shutting my brain down at night (insert joke here).
easilyscan 887 Posted Friday at 06:39 PM My sleep patterns are like the economy, cyclical. It took me a while, but I finally figured out why. Exercise. When I do enough of it, I sleep well, when I don't, it's similar to what 5-Points stated above. I'll sleep for 2-3 hours, wake up, & not be able to get back to sleep for 3-4 hours.

Nah, always been a night owl, even as a young kid that couldn't sleep past 7:00. One of my crowning achievements as a kid was learning how to sleep in. I might be an underachiever. I have worked second and third shifts, but it's not conducive to seeing my kids. Wish I could work like 10-6 every day, that would be perfect. Stay up til 1 or 2, still get 6-7 hours of sleep. Engorgeous George 2,210 Posted Friday at 08:13 PM Couple of fitful hours a night. Never more than 4, usually 3 hours. A good nap in the afternoon, 45 minutes usually. Probably due to a guilty conscience.

Ron_Artest 1,160 Posted yesterday at 01:22 AM I can generally fall asleep in seconds when I lie down. I get about 6 hours a night, always up really early, can't sleep past 6:00. During the summer I'm up around 5:00 no alarm.

BeenHereBefore 1,483 Posted yesterday at 05:43 AM I haven't had a good night sleep since my dog died and was so use to her sleeping next to me. Only time I do now is when I drink a lot. When I don't drink I go on two hours sleep for the day.

avoiding injuries 1,525 Posted 23 hours ago Alcohol ruins a nights sleep for me now. Especially beer, and more specifically craft beers. When deciding whether to drink, I now factor in what kind of sleep I’m going to get. Vodka, good tequila or 1-2 glasses of bourbon affect me the least. Those are my go-to’s now.
dain11279 965 Posted 17 hours ago Usually between 6-7 hours for me a night, have no problem falling asleep. I’m going on a camping trip next month in California, I’ll sleep maybe 3-4 hours a night then.
