If you fight against law enforcement you better have a damn good reason other than not liking a political approach.

Voting is what solves politics. Be careful what you vote for.

But going out into the streets and rioting divides. That is not politics unless you truly want to wage war. A real war.

I agree with you here as well.

Never thought I’d see the day when self-proclaimed patriots would defend law enforcement demanding US citizens show their papers and detaining them without cause.

Back before ICE was a fascist Nazi Hitler group, say under Saint Barack, if ICE raided a place they suspected of harboring illegal aliens, did they instantly know exactly who was a citizen or not, or would they detain people until they could determine their citizenship status?  In essence, asking for papers.

So you are saying that it IS in fact difficult to NOT get shot in the head by the police?

How many people get pulled over everyday in the US and what % of them end up shot in the head?

Back then I imagine ICE had a reason to suspect a place of harboring illegal aliens versus wandering around the city seemingly at random demanding people show their papers.

The inability for people to understand that they could be next is incredible.

If I was, I would do what they tell me to do because I know I did nothing wrong.  It's always better to be honest and cooperate with law enforcement.  If they physically harmed me for no reason, I would sue them.

When I lived in Canada, one time I was out with some friends on a sleepy Sunday evening in downtown Winnipeg. Just hanging around doing nothing really. A cop drove by us and we didn't think of it. A few minutes later the same cop drove by and told us to keep moving. We weren't allowed to stand around in the same place just chatting when everything was closed down.

So what did we do? We said "got it". And we moved on.

Boy, that really was tough to do.

And yeah, if they asked me for my ID they would have gotten it.

Exactly. I do everything I can to avoid any interaction with law-enforcement. That's why when my registration/license plate stickers are due, I order them immediately. If I have a headlight tail light brake light blinker light fail, I go to AutoZone buy the parts and fix it. Same for auto insurance. I don't speed excessively, don't run red lights, wear my seatbelt, don't have a car stereo that you can hear/feel 3 blocks away, don't put blatantly illegal aftermarket window tint on my car windows,  etc.

I only had 1 bad experience with law-enforcement. Was working nights 6 PM to 6 AM. It was a Friday night & about halfway through the shift, I thought I might have left a burner on, so I drove home at about 12:15 AM. I was going exactly 30 mph and was pulled over right in front of my house. It was a young C*** who said she estimated my speed at 39 mph

Told her no way, I was going exactly 30. The C*** came back with, well I'm just trying to keep the neighborhood safe.

I let it go with that, but I shouldn't have. You know the dumb C*** was hoping that I was guy coming home after having a couple beers & made up a reason to pull me over

Regret not filing a report against her.

Imagine living your life thinking you could be the "next" person to be shot in the head by police here in the US. Gotta be a miserable existence.

Officers stop an suv woman slowly backs up then full acceleration runs down a cop. But here wheels weren’t facing him when she accelerated.  In this instance the cops didn’t shoot

So if a salesman is better than another salesman he shouldn't be recognized as such?

And it's funny how Minnesota is seemingly always the center of unrest. Gee, who's fault is that?

Did you happen to see the part about if the person they arrest are released without charges.

Undertrained cops, given unlimited immunity, incentivized to make any arrest in cash. Great plan. Bravo.

Unlimited immunity? So if an ice agent in his off duty hours kills some hookers he’s clear?

Absolute immunity. Who the fock knows with this administration running stuff 😂

Do you think these cops should be getting incentivized even if the arrested isn’t charged. Does that seem problematic to you?

Try to talk about this without talking about Biden, or something else unrelated.

Yes! Under the 4th amendment searches and seizures are allowed with “probable cause.”

Did they skip basic civics at MIT? :(

Arresting and not charging under the current circumstances in Minneapolis are not troubling to me. You’ll have to tell me what the incentives are.

ICE has been given a quota to reach 3000 arrests per day. They are paid performance bonuses and like any government job the pay goes up the higher your level, promotions are going to be tied to performance.

For State and Local cops assisting they have added these incentives: Law enforcement agencies will be eligible for quarterly monetary performance awards based on the successful location of illegal aliens provided by ICE and overall assistance to further ICE’s mission to Defend the Homeland: 90% - 100% - $1,000 per eligible task force officer; 80% - 89% - $750 per eligible task force officer; 70% - 79% - $500 per eligible task force officer

They doubled ICE numbers in like a year. These cops are under significant pressure from bureaucrats and political hacks to make arrests and apparently bad arrests don’t matter. Performance driven by meeting quotas. A recipe for disaster.

According to Google AI

  • Withdrawn Deportation Bonuses (2025): A pilot program offered $200 for deporting someone within 7 days of arrest and $100 for within 14 days, but it was quickly canceled as unauthorized.
  • Recruitment Incentives (2025): ICE offered significant bonuses, including up to $50,000 signing bonuses, student loan repayment, and premium pay (LEAP/AUI) to attract new officers.
  • Performance Awards for Partners (2025): The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced quarterly performance awards for state/local agencies partnering with ICE (287(g) program) based on successfully locating and assisting with immigration enforcement.

so the incentives are based on successful arrests from what I read and not random arrests?   I guess you can read it through whatever lens you want.  per say  I don't have a problem with quotas.

you do realize that Trump was elected on this?  you also recognize if you don't let in 15 million or so in 4 years and we don't have this discussion.

Arrests are counted. If it is found they were only arrested because they were brown a day or a week later that still counts. That isn’t an issue to you?
