US State Survivor: And then there were five...

Recommended Posts

The remaining states have been combined into a single group, which simplifies things by limiting voting to just one thread.

Here are the winning states from each group:

  • Group A – Montana
  • Group B – Florida
  • Group C – South Carolina
  • Group D – Virginia
  • Group E – North Carolina

Not sure when voting will resume, as interest seems to be tapering off and there's currently more engaging content elsewhere on the board.

This has been fun. I do think that people are voting under the assumption that all residents of said state are "eliminated" as well.  Pennsylvania to get rid of all the Philly tards, texas for rusty and his 11 aliai, Cali and Tim...etc etc

Montana over Arizona?!  Outside of a small portion of Yellowstone, what is there?  What was your criteria:  "places I might visit once to shoot caribou?"

I like having seasons and enjoy cold weather...  Plus too close to the Mexican boarder...

I'll give you Mexico.  But the great thing about Arizona is its diverse climate.  I just spent 2 weeks in the White Mountains in the NE part of the state -- 3 hour drive from my house.  7200 ft elevation, pine forests, ski slope 30 minutes farther away.  While there we drove an hour (north, actually) to the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert National Park, warmer, desert, completely different.

Flagstaff is just over 2 hours from my house, similar elevation, and I live on the south side of town.  Sedona and wine country are a little closer.

Montana.  :(

Speaking of not meeting, our fam is heading to Grand Rapids next spring for my nephew's wedding.

I am not surprised that CA didn't make it far in the poling.

We had a major haboob (heh heh... that's what they call the dust storms) on Monday.  Worst one in decades.  Tore a shade structure in our pool to shreds.  Ripped a bush out by the roots.  What kind of wind can do that?

One of the Cardinals tweeted something like "WTF was that?"  Somebody responded, "we forgot to tell you it rains dirt here!"

It did actually rain a ton afterward which we sorely needed.

Otherwise it's nice though.

Some of the footage from that storm was wild. I would honesty like to experience it once just to see it first hand.

I like AZ. Don’t sleep on Montana tho! Beautiful.

I am sure Arizona is beautiful, but honestly, if Montana was good enough for an Executive Officer of a Russian submarine, it's good enough for me...

I am not surprised.

People hate CA...but seem to love its politics and politicians. 🤷‍♀️

Katie Hobbs is governor because tards like you thought it would be a good idea to nominate Kari Lake as the Republican.  Next time the same will likely happen with Andy Biggs.  Based!  Thanks for nothing, Woke Right!

Beaners everywhere, lesbian governor that wears those thick black rimmed glasses, middle of the desert, hot as fock. Your state sucks.

Glacier, Whitefish, Flathead. Beats the pants off living in the desert.

You've just listed a lake, another lake, and... another lake within a few square miles within a ginormous state whose claim to fame is being devoid of people.

Also, either you can't read or you've had one too many of your 4% ABV rice and corn syrup beers -- Arizona is extremely diverse.  It's a lot more than a desert.

Glacier is over a million acres.  And I don't need to read a biased opinion, I've been through both states dozens of times.

Montana is a fantastic place. Spent two weeks there this summer in the Glacier area and then further south. Also drove through coming out of North Dakota and spent a night at Great Falls. Man, what a beautiful place.

Arizona is great, too. Not knocking that state. I just didn't want anyone to think Montana shouldn't be in the top five who hasn't been there because it is terrific.

For me, I find that all the states are pretty much great in their own way. Except for Mississippi. That would be the one state I would have difficulty saying nice things about.
