BunnysBastatrds 2,569 Posted August 30 I only respect Grandpa Archie. Payton and Eli are both very desirable humans. I hope Arch will bring up the rear.
squistion 2,434 Posted August 30 For what it is worth, I have read that of the three Manning brothers. Cooper Manning was the superior athlete and had the most natural football talent before a career-ending spinal stenosis diagnosis ended his playing days just before his freshman season at Ole Miss. Cooper was a highly-touted All-American receiver who was expected to be the first Manning to reach the NFL.

For as great as they were as QBs in the NFL, relatively speaking, they werent very athletic. Cooper played a position that required some athleticism...your point makes sense to me.
BeenHereBefore 1,570 Posted August 31 He's going to be good and just needs more game play and will probably stick around for next year as well. Which I think will be a smart move on his end.
BiffTannen 1,086 Posted August 31 He will have solid season when it’s all said and done. Sucks he had to make his debut against the best program of all time.

We learned last year that 2024 Michigan didn't need a QB to beat Ohio State, with their clownish Offensive Line who I was laughing at all game. Don't need a QB so much when so many drives start deep in opposing territory. We'll see what happens this year.

No way he will be close to Peyton in terms of talent or to Eli in terms of clutch, but I think he will have a solid NFL career.

HellToupee 2,124 Posted September 2 Truth be told Cooper never had the makings of a varsity athlete. The story was concocted to give him a crutch . In reality Cooper was a theater kid
squistion 2,434 Posted September 2 So revisionist history is now that Cooper Manning's spinal stenosis diagnosis was a fake story and he was really a "theatre kid" into show tunes. From Google AI: AI Overview Cooper Manning is not known for being involved in theatre . He was a high school athlete and has since built a career in media and finance, but there is no evidence of him participating in theatrical productions
