To expand, I bring up Barcelona because it is a big mixing/melting pot and very liberal city.  My friend is Polish. Her girlfriend is engaged to a Venezuelan man. His mom still lives in Venezuela. She says "the people are thanking god for this and happy to be free again. It's a place with no infrastructure, not safe to go outside in the evenings."  I am paraphrasing from her messages that I saw.
