Is Popeyes All That ?

Recommended Posts

After years of planning, construction has finally begun on one in my town. Never ate there. Is it any better than KFC, Chick-fil-A, Slim Chickens etc. ?

I got a chicken sammich from there a few weeks ago because it was BOGO on Uber eats. It wasn't terrible, but I'd rather have CFA.

I think their chicken sandwich is better than any of the other chains and that includes CFA

It is all that.  Biscuits? best in the biz.

Chicken? motherfocking #1.

Sides? Can't be focking beat.

Al Copeland

He named the restaurant after the character Popeye Doyle from the 1971 film The French Connection.

I first heard the company name a long, long time ago when they sponsored a Supercross race at the Superdome.

Bojangles is better.  But I have heard people will fight over a Popeyes chicken sandwich.  Well, some people.

Not a fan. One opened up recently and kids asked to get it for dinner - walked in and walked out. Smelled gross. Had it a few times in the road over the years and liked Roy Roger’s better. Popeyes did have - not sure if still - good giblet gravy in its mashed potatoes
