He should have thought about that before he used his status to implore soldiers to commit treason.  He said it, now be a man about it.

Who did whatnow? I certainly never saw what you're referencing.

The death penalty is justice, not murder.

Individuals have been executed for treason in the United States, though it is rare and has only happened a few times. The last time was in 1862 when William Bruce Mumford was hanged for tearing down an American flag during the Civil War, though this was a federal execution by a military tribunal. Other notable executions for state-level treason occurred during the 1847 Taos Revolt and the 1859 raid on Harpers Ferry, which resulted in John Brown's execution for treason against Virginia.

Fully agree with the bolded.

I'll point out that it's been 160+ years since the last time this happened in the US, and all of the above examples were carried out after a trial of some sort. While I do not literally think our dlckless wonder of a POTUS is advocating directly for political assassinations, some of his more deranged acolytes might, which he damn well knows. Dude survived a very near miss himself last year. For him to say stuff like this is just further example of how unfit he is.

Meh.  That's Ok with me.  I have always been a fan of both parties having some power.  Never a fan of one party owning it all

Well, well, well. We see eye to eye on something!

Came off like a stunt to me, especially since they didn’t say what illegal activities the military is being asked to carry out.

But Trump is utterly deranged.

Trump should throw them in DC Gulag until we can be sure what they meant.

Statements Trump just made on Fox:

"In the old days," what these Democratic lawmakers said was "punishable by death"
These Democrats are "in serious trouble" They've engaged in "seditious behavior"
"They broke the law"
He also says he's not threatening the Democrats. 🤔

@squistionNot to nitpick, but I don't recall the Don saying anything about a trial in those rants. Am I misremembering, or should you change the thread title?

Who committed treason?
