If the cases are linked, would seem more likely the Brown shooting was actually targeting a professor or something.

Wasn’t the classroom serving for a study group? Maybe there was a class scheduled there during the fall, but now it’s over?

Yes, it was a Saturday, I think they were studying for finals.  No clue if the professor typically goes to that sort of thing, or if this professor was celebrating Shabbat like the President of the College Republicans was.   But if it was a targeted attack by Iran on a religious Jew, they should know they wouldn’t be doing work on Shabbat. 

So that brings up another possibility which @jerryskids will not like, since Israel randomly accused Iran of committing the MIT murder out of the blue, maybe that actually means Israel did it?  They have of course been known to kill scientists.

Right now doesn’t feel terribly promising. That said, I’ve become use to seeing high profile cases that looked like the perp got away with it and they wind up getting the person anyway. If they have leads, they are kept closed to the public again.  Hopefully this Salem thing shakes out.

Some other updates: they knew where the killer was yesterday but they took their time because they didn’t want him to escape.
He worked with the MIT professor in Portugal years ago.
And he didn’t target any specific students. He started firing as soon as he entered the classroom.
