Time and aging

Recommended Posts

Thought crossed my mind the other day that maybe our regular lifespan isn’t based entirely on our construct of time but maybe more of a function of gravitational forces. In other words a slow degrading of our bodies over time due to the pull. I wonder if in deep space on a ship if a baby were born and was able to live majority of its life free from gravitational pulls if lifespans could be substantially longer? Curious on u alls thoughts

Time is relative. It would most likely feel the same amount of time.

Has weepers ever landed a clean blow? I don't think so. That's a lot of swings and misses because she swings a lot.

Human bodies need gravity for physiological reasons like bone density. But I think you’re on to something from a gravity and time perspective. If you approached closely to a black hole, your time would flow normally, but to an observer on Earth, you would just stop in time for what seems like forever. I don’t know how long a human would actually live under those circumstances, probably the same number of years, but who knows? If you go, you can find out, but you would never be able to tell anyone after crossing the event horizon.

Gravity is essential to the human body and all animals. It's the perfect amount of gravity for us. I don't think gravity has anything at all to do with aging.

Time feels like it goes by faster as we age because things become more routine. The mind is always looking to optimize, so the more routine our lives are, the faster time seems to go. It compresses repetitive events.

Consciously adding novelty helps to slow time a bit for our awareness.

Age could be looked upon has a reason why time seems to be going by faster, but, the Word says near the end of days, time will be spend up, I know that’s the real reason, even younger people today talk about how much faster years seem to be coming and going.   Indeed

Unlikely. Concept of time in humans is very closely tied with sunlight. This has been shown by explorers in caves for extended periods of time, where their internal body clocks elongate periods of wakefulness. When in a completely dark environment, subjects were observed to move into as long as 48-hr cycles of wakefulness, followed by 10-14 hours of sleep.

Unfortunately, FBN and Weepy are both convinced they have the answers for everything. They just have different answers and neither can accept they may be wrong about anything.

Not a single prof that I am wrong, you just don’t want me to be right.  God is the answer.   Thanks.

Psst.

God is the answer FOR YOU. I do not begrudge you your beliefs. But you are the poster child for why people like me have zero tolerance for religious kooks. Because y'all can't ever STFU about it, inject it into EVERY godamn conversation, think that your beliefs are unquestionable despite no concrete, scientific evidence of any of them, and your insistence that everyone else is wrong based on your BELIEFS.

Also, you're a hypocritical d1ckhead that definitely does NOT walk the walk of a true Christian. I know some true Christians. You couldn't hold their jock, or panties. I'll go so far to say that I'm convinced I'm a better person than you, and I have less time for Jesus Christ than I do Jesus Santana, the local burnout that won't leave me alone cuz he thinks I might have a cigarette he can bum.

I love it when simpletons try to sound smart.

Nobody knows what happens at the Event Horizon, the math breaks down, but somehow you think you know.

This is true. We have no idea what happens once something enters.
