48 hrs is on

GD, I love this movie.

So much for the night.

even back then, Jonathan Banks delivered the best performance of the entire movie.

I miss the movies where women could be literally punched out of frame. Remember when Ganz hit the hooker early on? Fuucking brilliant.

And don't even get me started on the racial dialogue aspect of this.

Damn, I miss the old days. I bet I watch this movie close to a hundred times in my best friend's dad's shid hole trailer back in high school.

I don't like white people and I hate rednecks. Makes me sick just to be in here.

ETA: I got $100 that says there was never a redneck bar named Torchy's in San Francisco.

Reggie Hammond: I've been in prison for three years. My diccckk gets hard when the wind blows.

Jack Cates: All right. I am through focking around. You tell me what you know or you are gonna get the living shiiitt beat out of you. Let me tell you something nigggerrr, I fight dirty.

Reggie and Jack vs Ganz and Billy's girls in the apartment was another great scene. The whole movie is action comedy gold from start to finish. Annette O'Toole was also awesome as Jack's angry girlfriend named Elaine.

48 Hrs may be the best comedy movie debut ever. That run to start his movie career with Trading Places and Beverly Hills Cop was incredible. Hell, I liked Golden Child, definitely Coming to America, and Harlem Nights. Not to mention his standup movies.

Eddie owned the 80s. Then the Nutty Professor phase kicked in. :(

The Busboys were great in it. I was surprised they didn't get more play.
